Syed Talha joins Bates David Enterprise as creative head

Talha has 12 years of experience in advertising. At Bates, he will be responsible for overseeing the creative output and boosting the brand communication process for all brands

Syed Mohammed Talha Nazim will head the creative functions of Bates David Enterprise as the creative director for the agency’s Bangalore branch. Talha comes from Orchard Advertising, where he worked as creative director. At Bates, he will be responsible for overseeing the creative output and boosting the brand communication process for all brands. 

The development was confirmed to agencyfaqs! by Subhash Kamath, chief executive officer, Bates David Enterprise.

Talha has 12 years of experience in advertising. He started his career in 1995 with Clairvoyance in Kolkata. After one year, he moved to Phoenix Advertising in the same city and worked there for about two years. Then, in 1998, he joined Leo Burnett, Mumbai, under KS Chakravarthy (popularly known as Chax), who is national creative director at Rediffusion DY&R. 

In 2005, Talha moved to Bangalore to join Leo Burnett’s sister agency, Orchard Advertising, and worked there until he joined Bates David Enterprise this month. 

Talha was ranked 8th in India by Campaign Brief Asia 2006. He has also been a winner at numerous awards such as Cannes Lion, Abby, One Show, AAAI, Clio, Asia Pacific Advertising Festival and Bangalore Adfest. Some of the brands he has worked on during his career are Fiat, Complan, Bajaj, Himalaya, Acer, Coca-Cola, Steinmetz, Sanctuary Magazine and Senso Restaurant.
