Big Bang scheduled for July 27

Ad Club, Bangalore, is gearing up to host its annual Big Bang Awards at Bangalore on July 27, 2007 be held at the Glass House, Bangalore Palace. The awards recognise creative excellence in various fields in advertising. The awards are open to the advertising fraternity across the country, though in the past, entries from the South have dominated the event. The event is sponsored by Big FM, Zee Kannada, UFO Moviez, Visage Images & Propmart.

In all, over 27 agencies and more then 10 clients have sent in 575 pieces of creative work. 54 awards would be given away, and 10 eminent marketing and advertising professionals have spent hours judging some very interesting and exciting creative work over the last week.

The jury members include professionals such Dan Ginsberg, founder Chairman Draft Worldwide; Harish Bijoor, founder Harish Bijoor Consultants; S Ghosh, head, Saatchi & Saatchi; Alok Arora, head marketing, Sanyo BPL; Vishnu Patel, chief executive officer – International, UFO Moviez; Vinod Nair president – India & South Asia Getty Images; Nischal Puri, head marketing – Jockey; Gautham Machaiah - corporate vice-president; and Meera Pillai - filmmaker among others.

Says Arvind Kumar, executive director - The Advertising Club, Bangalore, “There is excitement building up & the creative people are eager to know the outcome of the awards.”
