Gaurish & #BANNER1 & # Pathare, who was looking after print, radio and cinema buying for Reliance ADAG, has joined Mid-Day as the national sales head. His prime responsibility will be to boost and look after the sales of the company in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. He will report to Abhijit Pradhan, director marketing and sales, Mid-Day.

Pathare has always been in media buying and planning. He started his career with Clea Advertising in 1994. Within two years, he moved to Group M's Fulcrum and spent eight years there. Then he switched to MindShare for a year and a half.

In his next stint, he switched from media buying to media selling. He joined the Times Group in 2005 and was responsible for the ad sales of TOI-BBC magazines such as 'Femina' and 'Filmfare'. He also formulated marketing strategies for them. After a short stint at the Times Group, he came back to media buying, joining Reliance ADAG's in-house media buying department.

With career experience spanning 10 years in media buying and planning, Pathare is likely to consolidate the sales functions for Mid-Day further.

As reported by agencyfaqs! earlier, Mid-Day recently also roped in Neville Bastawalla from Nick as the national head for marketing.
