A couple of days back, BIG 92.7 FM, the radio venture of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG), announced its foray into the out-of-home space, with its newly launched business division, BIG Street. Willis D'Monte has been appointed director of this new venture – he moves in from Poster Publicity India where he was heading the operations.
At BIG Street, apart from leading the team, Willis will be in-charge of the day-to-day operations. With an in-depth understanding of the OOH medium, he will provide strategic direction to various clients in planning and implementation of OOH. Jayyant Bhokare, vice-president, business development, BIG 92.7 FM is the man Willis will report to.

Talking about Willis, Bhokare says, "Looking at the function that he is to execute, Willis brings in an excellent track record and rich experience which shall work wonderfully for BIG Street."
An MBA, Willis started working at the age of 19; he began as an executive at Maini Group-the company which manufactured Reva, India's first electric car. He worked there for eight years, and stepped out as marketing manager. Moving on he joined Serve & Volley, where he began as manager, business development and was with the company for around five and a half years. He was instrumental in building the company from scratch, and left as country head.
Following his stint at Serve & Volley, he joined Poster Publicity India, as national director, for a short period of four months. At Poster Publicity, he was profit centre head, and was involved in planning and generating new businesses.
Willis opines, "At BIG Street, we wish to re-invent and define the OOH medium- that's the prime focus for us."
