Pradeep Guha re-elected president of IAA, India chapter

The India chapter of the International Advertising Association has 112 members

Pradeep Guha, chief executive officer, Zee Entertainment Enterprises, has been re-elected president of the International Advertising Association (IAA), India chapter, 2007-08.

Other members of the committee include Raj Nayak, vice-president; MG Parameswaran, honorary secretary; Jaideep Gandhi, honorary treasurer; Goutam Rakshit, member; Tanya Goyal, member; Rohit Gupta, member; Sam Balsara, ex officio (past president); Ramesh Narayan, coopted member; Pheroza Bilimoria, special invitee; and Mukul Upadhyaya, special invitee.

The IAA India chapter currently has 112 members. The chapter was launched 20 years ago with a view to fostering a healthy environment for the growth of globalisation in the communications industry. The agenda for IAA in the current year is to hold the 41st IAA World Congress in Washington from April 7-9, 2008. The India chapter hopes to play a key role at the congress with its large delegation.

Other activities will include a one day seminar on the ‘Future of the Brand’ and a trip to Japan with a series of meetings exclusively for IAA members and guests to be addressed by international Indians.

IAA has 6,000 members worldwide across 93 countries. It supports advertising as a force for growth in all free market societies. It recognises emerging cross-border trends and provides marketing communications professionals with an international, multi-industry forum for the global exchange of knowledge, best practices, professional development, experience and ideas.
