Rajesh Kulkarni moves to Rediffusion DYR as creative partner

Rediffusion DYR has appointed Rajesh Kulkarni at its Mumbai office as creative partner, art. In this role, Kulkarni will be responsible for delivering outstanding creative work. This is yet another strategic appointment and a part of the company’s plan to redefine and reposition itself as a player to contend with in the advertising arena.

Prior to joining Rediffusion DYR, Kulkarni was a senior creative director at Clarion Bangalore, and while there, he was instrumental in building brands such as Titan, Louis Philippe, Weekender Kids, Cadbury Bytes, ICICI Bank, Concern India and Ciba Vision.

Kulkarni started his advertising career with Ambience Publicis in Mumbai. Subsequently, he worked at Saatchi & Saatchi Dubai and at Contract Mumbai, followed by O&M Bangalore.

Kulkarni has won awards as a Cannes finalist for the Ciba Vision Poster in 2001, as a Cannes finalist for the Lakeview Poster in 2004, as a Clio finalist for the Weekender poster in 2001, the Art Directors Club merit for the Louis Philippe wrinkle-free hoarding in 2001, as a New York Festival finalist for the Louis Philippe wrinkle-free poster in 2001, as a Young Guns Finalist in 2004 and as a London International Finalist for Crest (the miners ad), Art Director of the Year in Bangalore in 2001, a gold at the Campaign Gulf for the Crest film and more than 250 local awards in Mumbai and Bangalore.

Kulkarni says, “I am very excited about Rediffusion because it is known for the best combination of great designing and great advertising.”
