chairman and national creative director, Ogilvy India and South Asia, Piyush Pandey, has been selected to be on the jury for the 2nd Dubai Lynx Awards, which is a part of the 1st Dubai International Advertising Festival. He will overview the entries in the TV/Cinema, Print, Outdoor and Radio category.
Pandey also judged at the British D&AD Global Awards 2007 in the Poster Advertising category, along with Prasoon Joshi, regional creative director, South and South East Asia, McCann-Erickson. The communique carries Pandey's comment, which reads, "I am delighted to be chairing the Dubai Lynx Festival Jury 2008. This is a young festival and therefore an opportunity for all of us to build a distinctive character for it. A character that is unique to this region and yet is an inspiration for the rest of the world. It will be my endeavour to work with the distinguished jury members, select the best pieces of work that are not confined to the tastes of just our fraternity, but are capable of delighting people that they are created for."
Pandey was recently elected to the Ogilvy Worldwide board and has been appointed vice-chairman, O&M Asia Pacific, by the agency's regional board. He was inducted to Ogilvy's Worldwide Creative Council four years ago. Pandey has been heading O&M India's operations since 1994.
