When Suneja joined Perfetti, it was just three years old in India. He was instrumental in launching new brands such as Alpenliebe, which is today one of the country’s top confectionary brands. Under his leadership, Perfetti had the distinction of being perhaps the first company to win at the Abbys and the Effies for five consecutive years. Perfetti Van Melle India was declared Advertiser of the Year on TV, Radio and the Internet last year and was the first company from India to win two metals at Cannes for the widely acclaimed Happydent White commercial.

Perfetti Van Melle India, a subsidiary of the global conglomerate, started operations in 1994. A confectionary company of repute, Perfetti leads the Indian sugar confectionary market and takes care of the development of South Asian markets and exports to other Asian countries. With a basket of more than 15 brands, the company strives to leverage its international brands portfolio, while adapting flavours and blends to local tastes. Some of the key brands in its portfolio, apart from Alpenliebe, are Center Fresh, Chlormint, Mentos, Happydent and Big Babol.
