Nandu Narasimhan heads for VGC

Narasimhan has around 19 years’ experience in the advertising industry, and has worked for clients such as Nestle, Domino’s Pizza, Sony Ericsson, LG and Samsung

Late in February, agencyfaqs! reported that after almost two years as creative director, North, at Saatchi & Saatchi, Nandu Narasimhan had put in his papers. Now, he has joined Vyas Gianetti Creative (VGC) as national creative director.

Preeti Vyas, chairman and chief creative officer, VGC, says, “Narasimhan is a ball of energy and he has an extremely centred perspective. He’s got the mindset and skill-set to lead us into a new phase of VGC being a communication specialist.”

Narasimhan started his career as a copywriter with Tara Sinha Associates in 1989. After a year, he moved to Everest Integrated Communications Delhi. In 1993, he joined Lowe (then Lintas). Four years later, he joined TBWA. Later, he returned to Lowe for his second stint at the agency and was there for two years.

After his second stint at Lowe, he joined Contract, where he worked on accounts such as Domino's Pizza and Dabur. Then Grey Worldwide happened, and he joined there as regional creative director. In June 2006, he moved to Saatchi & Saatchi.

During his various stints, Narasimhan has worked on accounts such as Nestle, Maruti, Hyundai, Xerox, Parker, LG, Samsung, ABN Amro credit cards, NIIT, Domino’s Pizza, GE Money, SBI credit cards, Sony Ericsson, Mother Dairy and Dabur.

Narasimhan says, “Looking at the defined growth plan that VGC has put forward, I will add to its existing creative DNA with my strategic orientation.”

VGC was founded in 1997 and is the communications partner for brands such as the Aditya Birla Group, Birla Sun Life, BBC World, Religare, The Park Hotels, Godfrey Phillips and The Indian Express Group.
