TBWAIndia brings in Shiv Sethuraman as CEO

Shiv Sethuraman comes in from Ogilvy Paris, where he has been operating as managing director since 2005

Shiv & #BANNER1 & # Sethuraman is coming back to India from Paris to join TBWAIndia as its chief executive officer. He will be based in Mumbai and oversee the operations of both the TBWA and Tequila brands in India.

Armed with extensive experience on the agency and client side in India and abroad, Sethuraman has been managing director at Ogilvy Paris since 2005. Prior to that, he was global business director at Ogilvy Paris, leading the teams on Nestle and Louis Vuitton. On the Nestle Dairy business, he was a team leader overseeing 22 markets across three continents. Before that, he was a vice-president at Ogilvy's Mumbai office, leading client servicing teams on key accounts such as Unilever and Cadbury.

The announcement was made in the presence of Keith Smith, president international, TBWA Group, and George John, chairman, TBWAIndia. Smith says, "It is great to add a world class talent such as Shiv to the TBWA team. He has done a wonderful job with Ogilvy both in India and in France, and his unique experience will be a huge boost to our growth in the important Indian market."

John says, "TBWA in India has been growing very fast in recent years. We have felt the need for someone to come in and not only consolidate the gains, but also motivate and lead the team to continue the momentum of growth and take it to the next level. Shiv comes with impeccable credentials, which I feel are perfect for the job at hand. I welcome him to the TBWA fold and wish him all the best."
