BAG Films appoints Ashish Kaul as group COO

Kaul’s mandate will involve identifying a business vision strategy and building organisation capability for the company

Ashish Kaul, who was working with Zee Network as executive vice-president, corporate brand development, has joined BAG Films. He has been appointed group chief operating officer of the company. His mandate will involve identifying a business vision strategy and building organisation capability to achieve long term and short term goals for BAG Films and Media Ltd.

Anurradha Prasad, managing director, BAG Films, says, “We believe that Ashish Kaul’s contribution will help achieve the many milestones the company has set for itself.”

Kaul was associated with the Zee Network for a decade. He holds a BA from Kurukshetra University and a diploma in advertising and public relations from Welingkar’s Institute of Management Development and Research, Mumbai.

In a career spanning 14 years, he has worked with diverse business operations, including telecom, infrastructure management, cable and distribution operations, broadcasting, chemicals and petrochemicals, hotels and tourism, and media and entertainment.

Kaul says, “BAG Films and Media has a 360 degree approach to diversification, which encompasses TV, radio, convergence, animation, education, film and TV production. The company’s plans hold enormous possibilities and I look forward to leading BAG Films and Media to a position of strength in their respective businesses.”

Kaul was conferred the MediaMeet Manager of the Year award in 2001. He is also a winner of the Chief Minister’s Commendation Award for outstanding contribution to society. He has been a guest faculty at IIM Ahmedabad and other educational institutions across the country.
