Mukherji will be part of the jury for the promotion awards for the third time in a row
Kaushik Mukherji, chief operating officer, Hungama (promo marketing), has been selected as a judge at the Promotion Marketing Awards of Asia (PMAA) 2008 to be announced in August. He will judge two categories, Best Innovative Idea and Best Integrated Communications Campaign.
Mukherji says, “With the daily evolution of mobile and Internet technology, promo marketing is seeing a seamless integration of old media, the Internet, the mobile and traditional on-ground channels. The winner, in my opinion, will be the one who takes away the challenge of distance between locations, cities and disparate infrastructure, and delivers a ‘wow’ property that is innovative, scalable and over-delivers on the brief.”

The PMAA is a part of the MAA Globes, organised by the Marketing Agencies Association, in recognition of excellence in promotion marketing. The gold, silver and bronze Dragons awarded at the PMAA will be presented in 16 categories, including Best Integrated Communications Campaign, Best Use of Direct Marketing in a Promotion Campaign, Best Digital Communications Campaign and Best Brand Building Campaign.
All the winners at the PMAA will be eligible for the MAA Globes, which will be held in Canada in October.
Last year, the PMAA Dragon for the Best Promotion Marketing Campaign was awarded to McCann-Erickson, Malaysia. Solutions Integrated Marketing won two gold Dragons, in the categories of Best Dealer or Sales Force Activity and Best BtoB Campaign.
