Dipanjan Chowdhury new national business head for i next

Chowdhury has been brought in from Jagran’s Bangalore office, where he has been handling business development responsibilities for Karnataka for the last four years

As Jagran Prakashan’s bilingual daily, i next, gears up to extend its footprint beyond Uttar Pradesh, Dipanjan Chowdhury has been hired as its national business head.

Chowdhury has been brought in from Jagran’s Bangalore office, where he has been handling business development responsibilities for Karnataka for the last four years. Prior to Jagran, Chowdhury has worked with The Times of India and Anandabazar Patrika.

Chowdhury, who will be based in Delhi, says, “There is an immense opportunity for this genre of newspaper and i next has a distinct advantage with its unique positioning and first mover advantage in these markets. I am really looking forward to joining the team.”

At present, i next has six editions in Uttar Pradesh (Kanpur, Lucknow, Meerut, Agra, Varansai and Allahabad) and one edition in Uttarakhand (Dehradun).
