India has appointed three senior level executives, Sridhar Seshadri, Parminder Singh and Narasimha Jayakumar, as business heads for the financial services, technology and travel sectors, respectively.
Seshadri, Singh and Jayakumar will lead the financial services, technology and travel teams and serve Google's advertising clients in these sectors and counsel them in strategising their advertising campaigns to get better results from the AdWords programme.
Sridhar will be responsible for the generation of advertising business from the financial services segment. Similarly, Singh will drive business growth in the technology and telecommunications space, while Jayakumar will aim at growing clients in the travel sector.
Rao adds, "To create more value for our customers, we want to be able to help them perfect their digital strategies and drive measurable and sustained business growth by leveraging the medium to its fullest, using platforms like AdWords across the web, mobile, and potentially other channels in the future."
Seshadri has more than 10 years of experience with ICICI Bank. He worked across various divisions like advertising, marketing, product development, rural, agricultural and micro-banking while there. He is an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow.
Singh has more than 14 years of experience in strategy and brand marketing with focus in the technology and telecommunications sector. He has worked with companies such as IBM, Apple, HCL and Cyrix.
Jayakumar also has more than 10 years of experience. He has worked with companies such as Expedia Inc., Cendant Corp., Tata Consultancy Services and IBM India. He holds an MBA from London Business School.
AdWords is Google's advertising programme, which allows advertisers to showcase their ads along with the search results on Google.com and sites affiliated with Google, including AOL Search and Ask.com.
