Get creative with social issues and win Rs 1 lakh

This competition is for a social awareness OOH campaign that will be implemented by the IOAA on an all India basis

Outdoor Advertising Magazine (OAM) and the Indian Outdoor Advertising Association (IOAA) have launched a social awareness campaign competition. The competition aims to creatively highlight social issues that need to be addressed. The format of the competition is open to all OOH formats, such as billboards, street furniture, etc.

All creative personnel are eligible to enter the contest, either individually or in groups. The topics are: Stop abusing the girl child – From inception to bride torturing and Proud to be an Indian – Stop abusing laws and stop being corrupt. A person/ group can send in multiple entries for either or both topics. There is no entry fee for the competition.

There are certain guidelines creative people need to follow while submitting their entries. The campaign must be submitted in jpeg format with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi and minimum dimensions of 100 square inches. The entries have to be mailed to sachin@vjmediaworks.com along with the sender’s name, contact number, mobile number, email ID(s) and project description. The last day for submitting entries is June 20.

The entries will be judged by an elite panel from the creative and media functions. The panel is headed by Pratap Bose, chief executive officer, O&M. First place will get the winner a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, second place, a cash prize of Rs 75,000, and third place, a cash prize of Rs 50,000.

The shortlisted nominations will be notified in advance. The winners will be announced at OAC 2008, to be held on June 28 at the Nehru Centre in Mumbai.
