He had been with Ogilvy for the last six years and, according to sources, is slated to join Mudra

Gupta, president, Ogilvy Action India, has moved out of the agency. He has been with Ogilvy for the last six years. He joined Ogilvy as head of Mumbai for Ogilvy Outreach for two years and was promoted as head of planning for Ogilvy Activation, after which he was the head of Ogilvy Action (minus Ogilvy Landscapes). Informed sources from the industry are certain that his next destination is Mudra, but when afaqs! asked him this, he claimed that the rumours were "baseless" and refused to elaborate.

Anurag Gupta
Gupta started his career 12 years ago with Grey and later moved on to other agencies such as Lowe, Unilever and Draft Worldwide Kenya. He has worked on some big brands and has also produced award winning work while at Ogilvy Action. He has worked on campaigns such as Lifebuoy Swasthya Chetna, Clinic Plus Mother Daughter Day, Madhya Pradesh Grameen Yuva Kendra and Sunlight - Quest for Kenyan National Dress.

Ogilvy Action is the brand activation division of the Ogilvy Group and has 49 offices in 40 countries. Last year, Ogilvy Action went through a formal rebranding (it was earlier known as Ogilvy Activation). During the rebranding, units such as Ogilvy Live, Ogilvy Outreach, Ogilvy Landscapes, Ogilvy Sports and Ogilvy Signscapes, which earlier fell under Ogilvy Activation, were also included under Ogilvy Action.

For the record, Ogilvy India lost one of its star outdoor hands, Pratap Bose (chief executive officer, Ogilvy & Mather), to Mudra recently. Bose moved to Mudra as chief operating officer.
