Prashant Kumar Singh joins TSA as associate director, business development

Total & #BANNER1 & # Sports Asia (TSA) has appointed Prashant Kumar Singh associate director, business development, TSA India. Singh will be based in Gurgaon and report to Suvrangsu Mukherjee, managing director, TSA India.

TSA is a sports marketing agency which set up shop in India in 2004. TSA operates through its 100 per cent subsidiary company, Total Sports Entertainment India. It is an integrated sports marketing company offering various services related to media rights distribution (sports), event management, sponsorship and consultancy services.

Talking to afaqs!, Singh says, "I have a two fold task at the organisation. First and foremost, to strengthen the existing set-up, sustain the existing business and get more clients for the company. Apart from that, to individually contribute to the growth of sporting culture in the country."

Earlier, Singh was head of the marketing function for Nikon in India. A major part of his career has been spent at the consumer durable company, LG Electronics. Singh is confident that his substantial experience in sales and marketing functions, combined with his enthusiasm towards sports, will ensure that he does well at his new assignment.

For the record, Singh has been a state level badminton player. He believes that learning the nuances of the business of sports will be an enjoyable process.

Mukherjee welcomed Singh into the TSA family. In an official communique, Mukherjee says, "We are happy to have Singh on board. He will certainly help strengthen our national sales team which is now growing from strength to strength. The new appointment is a testimony to TSA's growing commitment to India."

The sports marketing company has its headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and has offices in Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Mumbai and Delhi.
