Radio Mirchi regains lead in Kolkata

The top positions remained unchanged in Mumbai (Radio City), Bengaluru (Big FM) and Delhi (Radio Mirchi) in Week 46

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 46 is out and Radio Mirchi has won back the top position in Kolkata from Big FM. The top positions in Mumbai (Radio City), Bengaluru (Big FM) and Delhi (Radio Mirchi) remain unchanged.

Mumbai

Radio City holds on to top spot here with a market share of 19.3 per cent, a rise of 0.7 percentage points. Trailing by 2.2 percentage points is Red FM, which, with 17.1 per cent, holds second spot, down by 0.5 percentage points. Big FM, which is third, has seen its share decrease by 1.1 percentage points to 16.5 per cent.

With 12.3 per cent, Radio Mirchi retains both fourth spot and the share it had in Week 45. Trailing behind it is AIR FM Gold with 9.4 per cent – its market share has been reduced by one percentage point.

Among other stations, Radio One has a 7.7 per cent share in Mumbai, Fever FM, 6.2 per cent, AIR FM Rainbow, 5.1 per cent, Meow FM, 2.4 per cent, Vividh Bharati, 2 per cent, and Akashvani, 1.9 per cent.

Delhi

Radio Mirchi continues to be the No. 1 here, with a market share of 26.1 per cent in Week 46, a decrease of 1.7 percentage points over the previous week. AIR FM Gold continues in second place with a market share of 14.7 per cent, retaining its market share over the previous week.

The third spot in the Capital is held by Fever FM with a 10.8 per cent share, a rise of 0.2 percentage points. Red FM has held on to fourth position with a 9.2 per cent share, an increase of 0.8 percentage points. In fifth place is Radio One, with an 8.6 per cent share.

Among other stations, Radio City has a 7.6 per cent share in Delhi, Big FM, 7.4 per cent, AIR FM Rainbow, 4.7 per cent, Meow FM, 4 per cent, Hit FM, 3.5 per cent, Vividh Bharati, 2.7 per cent, and Akashvani, 0.4 per cent.

Bengaluru

Big FM continues at the top here, with a 27.5 per cent share, an increase of 3.2 percentage points from Week 45. With an increase of 1.6 percentage points, Radio Mirchi continues in second spot with an 18.3 per cent share. AIR FM Rainbow has retained the third spot and finished the week with a 10.2 per cent share, a decrease of 0.8 percentage points.

S FM has managed to remove Radio One from the fourth position, with a share of 9.8 per cent, an increase of 0.3 percentage points. Moving down to fifth position is Radio One, with 9.5 per cent, a decrease of 1.2 per cent.

Among other stations in Bengaluru, Radio City has a 7.2 per cent share, Fever FM, 6 per cent, Vividh Bharati, 5.4 per cent, Radio Indigo, 2.9 per cent, Gyan Vani, 2 per cent, and Akashvani, 1.2 per cent.

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi has regained the top spot here in Week 46, with a share of 20.8 per cent, an increase of 1.6 per cent. Week 45’s No. 1, Big FM, has slid to No. 2, with a share of 18.6 per cent, 1.4 per cent less than before.

Friends FM retains third spot with a 14.1 per cent market share, though it has lost 0.7 percentage points. Red FM is the new player in fourth position in Week 46, with a share of 10.2 per cent, an increase of 1.6 per cent. Fever FM has slipped a spot with a share of 9.3 per cent, though its share has increased by 0.4 per cent.

Among other stations in Kolkata, Amaar FM has a 7.7 per cent share, Meow FM, 7 per cent, AIR FM Gold, 4 per cent, AIR FM Rainbow, 3.5 per cent, Akashvani, 2 per cent, Power FM, 1.8 per cent, and Vividh Bharati, 1 per cent.
