Dainik Bhaskar launched a weekly lifestyle supplement, called Weekend Bhaskar, on January 16 in the Chandigarh market. The Chandigarh edition covers Panchkula and Mohali as well.
Weekend Bhaskar is a six page colour supplement distributed free along with the Saturday and Sunday editions of Dainik Bhaskar in the Chandigarh area.
The supplement will have a mix of local news stories and soft features such as entertainment, Bollywood, fashion, shopping, personal and professional grooming and relationships. With the target audience comprising youngsters and SEC A readers, Weekend Bhaskar will focus on news that may be of interest to the youth.

"We expect Weekend Bhaskar to further enhance this relationship and the trust that Dainik Bhaskar already enjoys with the SEC A segment." The focus of the new supplement will be on local ads.
