Mirchi tops in Delhi, Kolkata, City in Mumbai, Big in Bengaluru

No change in the leadership positions in any of the four cities

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 3 is out and last week's leaders continue their reign in the four cities. The toppers are Radio Mirchi in Kolkata and Delhi, Big FM in Bengaluru and Radio City in Mumbai.

Mumbai

Radio City continues as the No. 1 here, with a market share of 16.2 per cent, a decrease of 0.7 percentage points since last week. Trailing by 0.8 percentage points at No. 2 is Red FM, which, with a 15.6 per cent share, has lost 0.5 percentage points. Big FM, at No. 3, has seen a decrease of one percentage point in its share, which stands at 15.1 per cent.

With a 13.4 per cent share, Radio Mirchi is in the fourth spot, a decrease of 0.6 percentage points. Moving up one spot is Fever FM, with an 11 per cent market share, up by 1.6 percentage points.

Among other stations in Mumbai, AIR FM Gold has a 10.7 per cent share; Radio One, 7.3 per cent; AIR FM Rainbow, 4.1 per cent; Meow FM, 2.5 per cent; Vividh Bharati, 2.2 per cent; and Akashvani, 1.8 per cent.

Delhi

Radio Mirchi is the No. 1 here, with a market share of 26.1 per cent in Week 3, an increase of 0.1 percentage points over the previous week. AIR FM Gold continues in the second place, with a market share of 15.9 per cent, an increase of 1.6 percentage points.

Fever FM continues to move up and is now in the third position with a 10.8 per cent share, down by 0.5 percentage points. Slipping a position is Radio City, which now has a share of 9.7 per cent, a decline of two percentage points. Red FM and Radio City are tying for the fourth position. Red FM’s share has decreased by 0.7 percentage points.

Among other stations in Delhi, Big FM has a 7.6 per cent share; Radio One, 6.9 per cent; AIR FM Rainbow, 3.8 per cent; Hit FM, 3.8 per cent; Meow FM, 3.4 per cent; Vividh Bharati, 2 per cent; and Akashvani, 0.3 per cent.

Bengaluru

Big FM is in the top spot here, with a 24.1 per cent share, a decrease of 0.6 percentage points from the earlier week. Though its share has fallen by 1 percentage point, Radio Mirchi continues in the second spot, with a 20 per cent share.

Holding on to the third spot is AIR FM Rainbow, with a market share of 11.4 per cent, an increase of 0.3 percentage points. Moving up two spots is Radio City, which holds a 9 per cent market share. S FM has slipped a place and has a share of 8.8 per cent, a decrease of 0.6 percentage points.

Among other stations in Bengaluru, Radio One has an 8.1 per cent share; Fever FM, 7.7 per cent; AIR FM Vividh Bharati, 4.9 per cent; Radio Indigo, 3.3 per cent; Akashvani, 1.8 per cent; and Gyan Vani, 0.9 per cent.

Kolkata

The top positions here remained unchanged in Week 3, though it’s a close fight for the top spot. With a share of 19.6 per cent, Radio Mirchi continued to be the No. 1 in the city. Big FM maintained its No. 2 position, with a market share of 19.2 per cent, a decrease of 0.2 percentage points. Friends FM, too, maintained its position as the No. 3 here, with a share of 13.9 per cent – a fall of 0.1 percentage points from the earlier week.

Amaar FM has moved up a spot and has a share of 9.9 per cent, an increase of 1.2 percentage points. Red FM has also climbed up one place, though it maintains its previous week’s share of 8.5 per cent. Fever FM ties with it in the same spot and its share has fallen by 0.8 percentage points.

Among other stations in Kolkata, Meow FM has a 7.3 per cent share; AIR FM Rainbow, 5.2 per cent; AIR FM Gold, 3.1 per cent; Akashvani, 2.3 per cent; Power FM, 1.6 per cent; and Vividh Bharati, 0.9 per cent.
