Tata Indicom's media duties awarded to Square Circle Outdoors

Square Circle Outdoors has won the out of home (OOH) media duties of Tata Indicom, the CDMA services brand of Tata Tele Maharashtra. Recently, Tata DOCOMO's (the GSM services brand) outdoor media duties were awarded to OMI for Maharashtra (excluding Mumbai) and Goa; and Navia Asia for Mumbai.

Earlier, Tata Indicom was being handled by Clear Channel India. Following a multi-agency pitch, the business has now been awarded to Square Circle. Incidentally, Square Circle's chief executive officer, Robin Carruthers, recently moved into the agency from Clear Channel.

Carruthers says, "We are delighted with this win and thank TTML for having reposed its trust in our abilities. Today, OOH is counted as one of the key media components in any brand visibility study. We understand the criticality of this medium and will ensure that Tata Indicom continues to enjoy the most premium points across both the circles."

For the record, OOH specialist unit Square Circle Outdoors was launched in May this year by Shlok Media, the 45 year old Mumbai based out of home media owner run by Mayur and Sapna Patel. Some of its clients include SBI, Pernod Ricard (parent company of Seagram's) and Wipro.
