RAM Week 25: Mirchi leads in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bengaluru

In Week 25, Radio Mirchi has swept all the four RAM markets. In the previous week, it was leading in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 25 for four cities is out and this week, Radio Mirchi has once again proved its dominance in all the four RAM markets.

In Week 25, Radio Mirchi has managed to take over the Bengaluru market too, maintaining the previous week's lead in the three other RAM markets, Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata.

Mumbai

In Week 25, Radio Mirchi continues to lead in Mumbai with a market share of 17.1 per cent and a loss of 0.2 percentage points. It is followed by Red FM, with a market share of 15.9 per cent and a loss of 0.6 percentage points over the previous week.

Like last week, this week, too, Big FM occupies the third spot with a market share of 12.9 per cent, losing 1.2 percentage points in comparison to last week.

In Week 25, Radio City has moved up to occupy the fourth position with a market share of 12.3 per cent, gaining 1 percentage point. AIR FM Gold has dropped down to settle as the fifth player with a market share of 11.7 per cent.

With 10.2 per cent market share, Fever FM continues be placed sixth in Mumbai. Radio One is next, with a market share of 6.1 per cent. It is followed by AIR FM Rainbow, which has managed a market share of 5.9 per cent. This week, the radio station has added 1.6 percentage points in comparison to Week 24.

Amongst the other stations in Mumbai, Akashvani has 2.2 per cent; Meow has 2.5 per cent; and Vivid Bharati has 2.4 per cent.

Delhi

Striking a hat trick in Week 25, too, Radio Mirchi continues to be the No. 1 player in the city. With a market share of 25.9 per cent, the radio station has added 2.1 percentage points over the previous week.

Fever FM has held on to its second position with a market share of 16.2 per cent, registering a loss of 0.1 percentage points. AIR FM continues to be the third stakeholder. It has a market share of 16 per cent and a loss of 1.2 percentage points.

Radio City is back at the fourth place with a market share of 8.9 per cent, showing no gain or loss over the earlier week. Slipping a spot this week is Red FM. The radio station has a market share of 7.8 per cent, which is identical to Big FM.

With a market share of 6.8 per cent, Radio One is at No. 7, with a gain of 0.2 percentage points. Next in line is Meow FM, with a market share of 3.2 per cent and a loss of 0.3 percentage points.

Among the other stations in Delhi, Hit FM has a market share of 3.1 per cent, followed by AIR FM Rainbow (2.1 per cent); Vividh Bharati (1.8 per cent); and Akashvani (0.2 per cent).

Bengaluru

In Week 25, Big FM has lost its lead in the city to Radio Mirchi. The radio station, with a market share of 19.9 per cent, leads in the city. It has added 1.6 percentage points in comparison to Week 24.

Big FM is second, with a market share of 17.7 per cent, having lost 0.8 percentage points. Fever FM maintains its third spot with a market share of 12.6 per cent. It has lost 0.4 percentage points over the previous week.

As was the case last week, this time too, AIR FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 12 per cent, a loss of 0.9 percentage points over the previous week.

Radio City is fifth with a market share of 10.4 per cent, followed by S FM in the sixth place with a market share of 9.4 per cent. Radio City, though, has experienced a loss of 1.3 percentage points.

In Week 25, Radio One has slipped two spots to settle as the seventh player. It commands a market share of 8.8 per cent, registering a loss of 0.2 percentage points.

Amongst the other players in the market, Vividh Bharati has 4.8 per cent market share, followed by Radio Indigo (3.6 per cent); Akashvani (0.5 per cent); and Gyan Vani (0.3 per cent).

Kolkata

This week, Radio Mirchi, Big FM and Friends FM occupy the first, second and third spots in Kolkata.

Radio Mirchi, with a share of 19.7 per cent, continues to be the No. 1 player in the city, showing a gain of 0.3 percentage points.

Interestingly, this week, Friends FM has moved up from its fourth position to occupy the third position by commanding an equal market share of 13.9 per cent, along with the second player in the city, Big FM. In Week 25, Friends FM has added 1.8 percentage points.

Aamar FM is placed fourth in the city, with a market share of 11.3 per cent and a loss of 0.9 percentage points in comparison to the previous week. It is followed by Red FM with an unchanged market share of 8.2 per cent.

Fever continues to be the sixth player in the city. It has managed a market share of 7.1 per cent. Next in line is Meow FM, which has a market share of 6.6 per cent, a gain of 0.5 percentage points over the earlier week.

Meow FM is followed by Radio One with a market share of 6.2 per cent. AIR FM has garnered a market share of 4.8 per cent.

In Week 25, among the other stations in Kolkata are AIR FM Gold (3.4 per cent); Akashvani (2.4 per cent); Power FM (1.5 per cent) and Vividh Bharati (0.9 per cent).
