RAM Week 27: Radio Mirchi is numero uno in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bengaluru

Radio Mirchi tops the charts in all four RAM markets

According to the Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 27, Radio Mirchi is, once more, the numero uno player in all four RAM markets.

In Week 26, Radio Mirchi was the top player in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata, while Big FM topped the charts in Bengaluru.

Mumbai

In Mumbai, Radio Mirchi has a market share of 18.2 per cent, a gain of 0.6 percentage point. Red FM is at No. 2, with a market share of 16.1 per cent -- a gain of 0.7 percentage point over the previous week.

This week, both Big FM and Fever FM have an identical market share of 13.2 per cent. While Big FM has lost 0.3 percentage point, FM has gained 2.1 percentage points in comparison to last week. AIR FM Gold has slipped a spot to No. 5 this week, with a market share of 11.6 per cent -- a loss of 1.4 percentage points.

Radio City is at No. 6, with a market share of 10 per cent -- a loss of 1.8 percentage points, as compared to Week 26. With 7.1 per cent market share, Radio One is at No. 7 in the city.

Amongst the other stations in Mumbai, AIR FM Rainbow has 4.9 per cent market share; Meow has 2.3 per cent; Vividh Bharati has 1.8 per cent and Akashvani has 1.4 per cent market share.

Delhi

For the fifth week running, Radio Mirchi is the No.1 player in the city, with a market share of 25.2 per cent.

Fever FM is back at No. 2. It has a market share of 17.3 per cent, gaining 1.3 percentage points.

Sliding a spot, AIR FM Gold is at No. 3, with a market share of 16.2 per cent -- a loss of 0.3 percentage point.

Red FM has moved up a place to No. 4. It has a market share of 8.8 per cent, gaining 0.2 percentage point. Radio City has moved down a spot to No. 5, with a market share of 8.6 per cent and a loss of 0.9 percentage point.

Big FM and Radio One are at No. 6 and No. 7, respectively. Big FM has a market share of 7.3 per cent and Radio One has 6.6 per cent.

Among the other stations in Delhi are Meow FM (2.8 per cent market share), Hit FM (2.6 per cent), Vividh Bharati (2.4 per cent), AIR FM Rainbow (1.9 per cent) and Akashvani (0.2 per cent).

Bengaluru

At top spot, Radio Mirchi has a market share of 20.1 per cent, gaining 2.4 percentage points over the previous week. Big FM has moved down a spot to No. 2 with a market share of 17.3 per cent, losing 0.9 percentage point.

Fever FM continues at No. 3, with a market share of 13.7 per cent. It has gained 0.4 percentage point over the previous week.

Radio City has moved up the ladder to become the No. 4 player in Bengaluru. The radio station has a market share of 12.2 per cent, gaining 0.6 percentage points. AIR FM Rainbow is at No. 5, with a market share of 11 per cent. It has lost 1.3 percentage points compared to Week 26.

S FM continues at No. 6, with a market share of 8.8 per cent. This is followed by Radio One, with a market share of 7.9 per cent.

In Week 27, amongst other stations, Vividh Bharati has 4.4 per cent market share; Radio Indigo has 3.6 per cent; Akashvani has 0.5 per cent market share and Gyan Vani has 0.4 per cent.

Kolkata

In Kolkata, Radio Mirchi, Big FM and Friends FM are at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.

Radio Mirchi has a market share of 19.1 per cent and has lost 0.4 percentage point. Big FM has a market share of 15.3 per cent, with a gain of 0.7 percentage point; while Friends FM has 12.4 per cent, a loss of 0.3 percentage point.

In Week 27, Aamar FM is at No. 4, with a market share of 10.9 per cent -- a loss of 0.9 percentage point in comparison to previous week. Next in line is Red FM, with a market share of 8.9 per cent -- a gain of 0.1 percentage point.

Fever FM continues at No. 6 with a market share of 7.2 per cent, losing 0.3 percentage point. It is followed by Meow FM, which has a market share of 6.5 per cent. Radio One has dropped down a spot to No. 8 and has a market share of 6.4 per cent.

In Week 27, among the other stations are AIR FM Rainbow (market share of 4.6 per cent), AIR FM Gold (3.5 per cent), Akashvani (2.4 per cent), Power FM (1.8 per cent) and Vividh Bharati (0.9 per cent).
