RAM Week 28: Radio Mirchi continues to reign supreme in all four markets

As was the case last week, this week too, Radio Mirchi has maintained its lead in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 28 for four cities is out. As was the case in the previous week, in Week 28 too, Radio Mirchi continues to lead in all four RAM markets.

Mumbai

Radio Mirchi leads in Mumbai with a market share of 17.5 per cent, a loss of 0.7 percentage point. It is followed by Red FM with a market share of 14.7 per cent -- a loss of 1.4 percentage points over the previous week.

This week, AIR FM Gold has surged ahead of Big FM to occupy No. 3. The radio station has a market share of 13.6 per cent and has gained 2 percentage points in comparison to last week.

Big FM is at No. 4, with a market share of 13.1 per cent. Fever FM and Radio City are at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively. Fever FM has a market share of 12.1 per cent, with a loss of 1.1 percentage points; while Radio City has gained 0.7 percentage point and has a market share of 10.7 per cent.

With 7.1 per cent market share, Radio One is at No. 7 in the city.

Amongst the other stations in Mumbai, AIR FM Rainbow has 3.9 per cent market share; Meow has 2.5 per cent; Akashvani has 2.4 per cent and Vividh Bharati has 2.3 per cent market share.

Delhi

Radio Mirchi has a market share of 22.9 per cent in the city, but has lost 2.3 percentage points as compared to the previous week.

Fever FM continues at No. 2, with a market share of 18.5 per cent, gaining 1.2 percentage points. AIR FM Gold, with a market share of 14.9 per cent, is at No. 3, losing 1.3 percentage points.

Red FM continues at No. 4 in Week 28. With a market share of 9.2 per cent, the radio station has gained 0.4 percentage point. This week, Radio City is at No. 5, with a market share of 8.7 per cent.

Big FM is at No. 6, with a market share of 8.3 per cent, registering a gain of 1 percentage point.

Next in line is Radio One, which has a market share of 6.7 per cent.

Among the other stations in Delhi are Meow FM (market share of 2.9 per cent), Hit FM (2.8 per cent), AIR FM Rainbow (2.5 per cent), Vividh Bharati (2.3 per cent) and Akashvani (0.3 per cent).

Bengaluru

Radio Mirchi has a market share of 18.2 percent and has lost 1.9 percentage points in comparison to Week 27.

Big FM, with a market share of 17.2 per cent, is at No. 2; while Fever FM continues at No. 3 with a market share of 14.5 per cent, gaining 0.8 percentage point over the previous week.

Radio City has moved up to No. 4 in Bengaluru. It has a market share of 12.2 per cent. AIR FM Rainbow is at No. 5, with a market share of 10.7 per cent. It has lost 0.3 percentage point over Week 27.

S FM is at No. 6 with a market share of 9.5 per cent, followed by Radio One, with a market share of 8.6 per cent.

In Week 28, amongst others, Vividh Bharati has 4.2 per cent market share; Radio Indigo has 3.7 per cent; Akashvani has 0.6 per cent and Gyan Vani has 0.5 per cent market share.

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi, Big FM and Friends FM continue at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.

Radio Mirchi has a market share of 18.6 per cent, losing 0.5 percentage point over the previous week. Big FM has 16.1 per cent market share, with a gain of 0.8 percentage points. Friends FM has a market share of 13.5 per cent, gaining 1.1 percentage points over the previous week.

Aamar FM is at No. 4, with a market share of 10.9 per cent. Next in line is Red FM, with a market share of 8.5 per cent, a loss of 0.4 percentage point.

Fever continues at No. 6 with a market share of 6.7 per cent, losing 0.5 percentage point over Week 27.

Radio One has moved up a spot to No. 7. The radio station has a market share of 6.5 per cent, with a gain of 0.1 percentage point. It is followed by Meow FM, which has a market share of 6.2 per cent.

In Week 28, among the other stations in Kolkata are AIR FM Rainbow (4.2 per cent market share), AIR FM Gold (4 per cent), Akashvani (2.2 per cent), Power FM (1.6 per cent) and Vividh Bharati (0.8 per cent).
