STAR India ropes in Ravish Kumar from Reckitt Benckiser

Ravish Kumar has been roped in as executive vice-president and general manager, STAR India to oversee the regional business. He moves in from Reckitt Benckiser, UK, where he was global category director.

He replaces JC Giri, who is scheduled to join Ogilvy & Mather, Asia Pacific as the regional director on the Unilever business.

Prior to Reckitt Benckiser, where he spent close to three and half years, Kumar has worked as marketing director at McCormick & Co. Earlier, he was product manager, Bristol-Myers Squibb and associate product manager at ConAgra Foods.

Kumar is expected to come on board this week. He is a post graduate from the Kellogg School of Management and FMS, Delhi. At STAR, he will oversee the regional channels STAR Jalsha, STAR Pravah and future launches.
