Starcom Worldwide appoints Sriram Sharma as GM, Bengaluru

Starcom Worldwide has appointed Sriram Sharma as general manager of its Bengaluru branch. Earlier, Sharma was associated with OnMobile Global, the mobile VAS company.

He takes over from Ashwini Kamat, who recently moved out from the organisation to shift his base to Mumbai. Kamat was associated with the company for more than eight years.

Armed with more than 13 years of experience, Sharma is a post graduate in marketing and has worked in various capacities in the media industry, including planning, buying and strategic brand building. He has also gained experience in a wide range of industries, including advertising, Internet and mobile. He was also general manager, Maxus Bengaluru.

In an official statement, Sharma says, "Starcom's reputation in the industry and its belief in adding value to clients drew me towards being a part of this organisation. I'm sure that working at Starcom Bengaluru, leading business development and managing existing clients will be an interesting challenge. I look forward to making the Bengaluru office a leader in its own right and working with the team to double the size of our operations in the next one year."
