Week 41: Status quo in top positions in four RAM cities

Radio Mirchi leads in three RAM markets, namely, Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata and Big FM rules Bengaluru

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 41 for four RAM markets is out. And as has been the case for the last few months, this time too, Radio Mirchi leads in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Big FM dominates in Bengaluru.

Mumbai

Radio Mirchi continues to lead in the city with a market share of 18.8 per cent, the same as last week. Red FM and Radio City are placed second and third in the city.

Week 41: Status quo in top positions in four RAM cities
Red FM has garnered a market share of 14.4 per cent with a loss of 0.5 percentage point. Radio City has a market share of 13 per cent, gaining 0.9 percentage point in comparison to Week 40.

Air FM Gold and Big FM are placed at No. 4 and No. 5, with market shares of 12.5 per cent and 12.4 per cent, respectively -- slightly higher than their last four weeks' average of 12 per cent.

Fever FM is at No. 6, with a market share of 12.1 per cent, also surpassing it last four weeks' average share of 12 per cent. Radio One follows next, with a market share of 5.3 per cent.

Amongst the other stations in Mumbai, AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 5.1 per cent, followed by Vividh Bharati (2.4 per cent), Akashvani Mumbai (2.1 per cent) and Meow FM (1.8 per cent).

Delhi

Radio Mirchi is numero uno with a market share of 24.3 per cent, a loss of 0.4 percentage point. However, it has maintained its last four weeks' average share of 24 per cent.

Fever FM, at No. 2, has garnered a market share of 18 per cent, registering a loss of 1.3 percentage points, and almost 2 percentage points less than its last four weeks' average share. AIR FM Gold is at No. 3 in the city with a market share of 17.7 per cent, gaining 0.7 percentage point.

Next in line is Red FM with a market share of 10.2 percentage points, around 1.2 percentage points more than its four weeks' average. It is followed by Radio City with a market share of 7.4 per cent.

At No. 6 and No. 7, respectively, are Big FM and Radio One, with market shares of 6.5 per cent and 6.4 per cent, respectively. They are followed by Meow FM with a market share of 3.1 per cent.

Amongst the other stations in Delhi, Hit FM and AIR FM Rainbow have a market share of 2.1 per cent each, followed by Vividh Bharati (1.9 per cent) and Akashvani (0.2 per cent).

Bengaluru

Big FM continues to lead in Bengaluru; while Radio Mirchi and Fever FM are in second and third spot, respectively. Big FM has a market share of 19.3 per cent, registering a loss of 0.5 per cent over Week 40, though it has maintained its last four weeks' average share of 19 per cent.

Radio Mirchi has a market share of 17.7 per cent -- the same as last week, but more than its four weeks' average share of 17 per cent. Fever FM has a market share of 14.9 per cent, registering a loss of 0.5 percentage point.

Radio City and AIR FM Rainbow are at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively. Radio City has a market share of 11.5 per cent and AIR FM Rainbow has garnered a market share of 10.7 per cent.

S FM has moved up a spot to No. 6 with a market share of 8.6 per cent; followed by Radio One at No. 7 with a market share of 8.4 per cent.

Vivid Bharati occupies eighth spot with a market share of 4.8 per cent, registering a gain of 0.5 percentage point.

In Week 41 in Bengaluru, amongst others, Radio Indigo has 3 per cent market share, followed by Akashvani (0.6 per cent) Gyan Vani (0.4 per cent).

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi, Big FM and Friends FM are at the top three slots, respectively, in the city.

Radio Mirchi has a market share of 19.2 per cent -- slightly lower than its last four weeks' average share of 20 per cent.

Big FM has a market share of 18 per cent, registering a gain of 0.7 percentage point; while Friends FM has 13.2 per cent, which is lower than its last four weeks' average share of 14 per cent.

Aamar FM is at No. 4 in the city with a market share of 10.6 per cent -- a gain of 0.7 percentage points.

Red FM continues at No. 5 with a market share of 8.1 per cent. It is followed by Fever FM at No. 6 with a market share of 7.6 per cent. Next in line are Radio One and Meow FM with market shares of 5.9 and 5.8 per cent, respectively.

In Week 41, amongst the other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 3.6 per cent, followed by AIR FM Gold (3.4 per cent), Akashvani (2.4 per cent), Power FM (1.4 per cent) and Vividh Bharati (0.7 per cent).
