As a part of a global alignment, media agency ZenithOptimedia has bagged Swarovski's media planning and buying account for the Asia Pacific region, dislodging incumbent MPG. The agency will start working on the duties from January 2010.
The agency, part of the French advertising group Publicis, has been awarded the account without a pitch, based on the global crystal brand's relationship with the agency in Europe since 2008 (excluding UK).
In 2008, Alliance Advertising, the Delhi based media planning and buying agency, won the media duties for the Austrian brand known for its crystals, jewellery and accessories.
Recently, ZenithOptimedia bagged the media duties for Unitech Wireless in a multi agency pitch. ZenithOptimedia is one of the world's leading media specialist networks, with 218 offices in 72 countries.
Early this year, ZenithOptimedia India launched Newcast, a specialist division to develop and execute non-traditional media solutions.
