RAM Week 44: Status quo in all four RAM cities

In Week 44, Radio Mirchi leads in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata and Big FM rules Bengaluru

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 44 for four RAM markets is out. Radio Mirchi leads in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata; while Big FM tops in Bengaluru.

Mumbai

Radio Mirchi has a market share of 19.2 per cent in the city. While Red FM continues at No. 2, with a market share of 14.3 per cent and a loss of 0.6 percentage point vis-à-vis Week 43; AIR FM Gold has jumped two spots to No. 3, registering a market share of 13.3 per cent.

RAM Week 44: Status quo in all four RAM cities
At No. 4, Fever FM has a market share of 12.9 per cent, with a loss of 0.7 percentage point in comparison to Week 43. It is followed by Radio City at No. 5, with a market share of 12.6 per cent.

The next two spots are occupied by Big FM and Radio One, with market shares of 11.1 per cent and 5.6 per cent, respectively.

In Week 44, among the other stations in Mumbai, AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of

4.5 per cent; followed by Vividh Bharati (3.3 per cent), Meow FM (2 per cent) and Akashvani Mumbai (1.1 per cent).

Delhi

Radio Mirchi leads with a market share of 23.9 per cent, registering a loss of 0.3 percentage point. The next two spots are occupied by Fever FM and AIR FM Gold, with market shares of 19.2 per cent and 16.6 per cent, respectively. While Fever FM has gained 1.4 percentage points; AIR FM has registered a loss of 0.2 percentage point.

Red FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 9.2 per cent. Radio City is at No. 5 with a market share of 7.6 per cent, losing 0.3 percentage point over the previous week.

In Week 44, Big FM and Radio One have garnered market shares of 7.3 per cent and 7.1 per cent, respectively, occupying sixth and seventh positions.

Next in line are Hit FM and Meow FM, with market shares of 3 per cent and 2.5 per cent, respectively.

Among the other stations in Delhi this week, AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 1.9 per cent, followed by Vividh Bharati (1.6 per cent) and Akashvani (0.2 per cent).

Bengaluru

As has been the case for the past several weeks, this time too, Big FM leads in Bengaluru. It is followed by Radio Mirchi and Fever FM at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Big FM has a market share of 19.4 per cent; Radio Mirchi has 18 per cent; while Fever FM has 15.1 per cent.

Radio City and AIR FM occupy the next two spots, with market shares of 11.4 per cent and 10.1 per cent, respectively.

Radio One is at No. 6 with a market share of 9.3 per cent. It is followed by Red FM with a market share of 8.7 per cent, gaining 0.7 percentage point over week 43. Vivid Bharati is at No. 8, with a market share of 4.6 per cent.

This week, in Bengaluru, amongst other radio stations, Radio Indigo has 2.7 per cent market share; followed by Akashvani (0.4 per cent) and Gyan Vani (0.3 per cent).

Kolkata

The city is led by Radio Mirchi, Big FM and Friends FM placed first, second and third, respectively. Radio Mirchi has a market share of 20.4 per cent; Big FM has 16.7 per cent, registering a loss of 0.6 percentage point over Week 43. Friends FM has a market share of 14.9 per cent.

Aamar FM is at No. 4, with a market share of 10.4 per cent.

This week too, both Red FM and Fever FM have registered an identical market share of 7.2 per cent each. In Week 43, both of them had recorded a market share of 7 per cent.

Next in line are Meow FM and Radio One, with market shares of 6.1 per cent and 5.7 per cent, respectively.

In Week 44, among the other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 3.4 per cent. It is followed by AIR FM Gold (3.2 per cent), Akashvani (2.7 per cent) and Power FM (1.4 per cent).
