RAM Week 46: Status quo in all four markets

Radio Mirchi leads in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata; Big FM rules Bengaluru

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 46 for the four RAM markets is out. As has been the case for several weeks now, Radio Mirchi has maintained its lead in three out of the four RAM markets, namely Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata. Big FM is the frontrunner in Bengaluru.

Mumbai

Radio Mirchi is No.1 in the city with a market share of 17.5 per cent. It is followed by Red FM and Radio City, both garnering identical market shares of 13.8 per cent.

AIR FM has maintained last week's fourth position with a market share of 13 per cent. This week, Big FM has moved up a spot to become the fifth player, with a market share of 11.7 per cent.

Slipping a spot is Fever FM. Placed sixth, the radio station has a market share of 11.5 per cent. It is followed by Radio One with a market share of 6.2 per cent.

In Week 46, among the other stations in Mumbai, AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 5.5 per cent, followed by Vividh Bharati (3.6 per cent), Akashvani Mumbai (2.1 per cent) and Meow FM (1.4 per cent).

Delhi

Radio Mirchi leads with a market share of 24.4 per cent, registering a gain of 0.9 percentage points. Fever FM and AIR FM Gold are placed second and third, respectively.

Fever FM has garnered a market share of 18.9 per cent and AIR FM has a market share of 17.1 per cent, with a gain of 0.7 percentage points.

It is followed by Red FM in the fourth spot with a market share of 9.2 per cent. Radio City is fifth in the city, with a market share of 8.3 per cent, registering a gain of 0.2 percentage points over Week 45.

This week, Radio One and Big FM are placed sixth and seventh in Delhi. The stations have garnered market shares of 7.3 and 6.5 per cent respectively.

Among the other stations in Delhi, Meow FM has a market share of 2.5 per cent, followed by Hit FM (2.2 per cent), AIR FM (1.9 per cent), Vividh Bharati (1.4 per cent) and Akashvani (0.3 per cent).

Bengaluru

Big FM leads in Bengaluru, followed by Radio Mirchi and Fever FM in the second and third spots. This week, Big FM has a market share of 19.4 per cent. Radio Mirchi is second with a market share of 17.5 per cent. Fever FM has a market share of 15 per cent.

Radio City has moved up to occupy the fourth spot with a market share of 13.1 per cent, gaining 2 percentage points. AIR FM is fifth, garnering a market share of 10.7 per cent.

Red FM is sixth in the city, with a market share of 8.9 per cent. It is followed by Radio One, with a market share of 7.7 per cent. Vivid Bharati follows with a market share of 4.7 per cent.

Amongst other stations in Bengaluru, Radio Indigo has 1.9 per cent market share, followed by Gyan Vani (0.6 per cent) and Akashvani (0.5 per cent).

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi leads with a market share of 20 percentage points. Big FM and Friends FM are placed second and third in the city.

Big FM has a market share of 15.9 per cent, registering a loss of 1.4 percentage points. Friends FM has garnered a market share of 14 per cent.

Aamar FM occupies the fourth place with a market share of 10.3 per cent. Fever FM and Red FM are next in line, with market shares of 7.6 per cent and 7.5 per cent respectively.

Meow FM occupies the seventh spot in Kolkata with a market share of 6.4 per cent. It is followed by Radio One, with a market share of 6.2 per cent.

In Week 46, among the other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 3.9 per cent, followed by AIR FM Gold (3.7 per cent), Akashvani (2.8 per cent) and Power FM (1.2 per cent).
