Anupama Mandloi, senior creative director heading the non-fiction programming at STAR Plus, has put in her papers. Although she has confirmed her move, the exact date of her exit is yet to be finalised.
Mandloi joined STAR in July 2007 to oversee the non-fiction department of the network's flagship channel, STAR Plus. During her tenure, the channel launched several non-fiction shows such as Sach Ka Saamna, Perfect Bride and Aap Ki Kachehri.
During her stint at Sony, she dabbled in a variety of roles ranging from on-air programming director, on-air programming head and creative director to her last role as senior vice president and head, on-air programming. She also played a pivotal role in SAB TV, after it was taken over by SET from Shri Adhikari Brothers in 2005.
Mandloi was not willing to divulge her next destination but said that she will be able to reveal it in a few days.
Meanwhile, at STAR, Monika Shergill, the erstwhile creative head of STAR One, will replace Mandloi. The channel is currently scouting for a replacement for Keertan Adyanthaya, who was executive vice-president and general manager, STAR Plus. He is now responsible for the English channels of STAR India.
