Prior to STAR, where she spent two years, Mandloi had a brief stint at Fremantle Media, producers of shows such as Indian Idol, for six months. Her longest stint was with Sony, lasting nine and a half years.

During her stint at Sony, she dabbled in a variety of roles ranging from on-air programming director, on-air programming head and creative director to her last role as senior vice president and head, on-air programming. She also played a pivotal role in SAB TV, after it was taken over by SET from Shri Adhikari Brothers in 2005.

Mandloi was not willing to divulge her next destination but said that she will be able to reveal it in a few days.

Meanwhile, at STAR, Monika Shergill, the erstwhile creative head of STAR One, will replace Mandloi. The channel is currently scouting for a replacement for Keertan Adyanthaya, who was executive vice-president and general manager, STAR Plus. He is now responsible for the English channels of STAR India.
