SN Jha and Yadvesh Kumar have been roped in for new innings, while AP Singh and Virendra Pathania were handed over new roles in the company
After the recent appointment of Alok Mathur as vice-president, media solutions (national), reported by afaqs! sometime ago, the Amar Ujala Group has further reshuffled its senior rung with immediate effect.
SN Jha has been roped in as general manager, government and mini-metros businesses and his responsibilities will include the Delhi government business, which accounts for about Rs 20 crore of advertising, as well as the mini metros business, which is worth approximately Rs 15 crore.
Based in Delhi, Jha will report to Mathur. Earlier, Jha was associated with Ananda Bazaar Patrika as general manager, government sales. Armed with about 14 years of experience, he has also worked with Indian Express.
In another development, Virender Pathania has moved from unit to corporate level and will now be based in Delhi. In his new role, Pathania will take charge of circulation, SPMD (sales promotion and marketing development) as general manager, circulation, western UP and Uttarakhand.
Yadvesh Kumar has been appointed GM, circulation for central and eastern UP. Kumar comes in from Rashtriya Sahara and will report to Mutreja. With more than 21 years of experience, Kumar has also been associated with the Jagran Group, Rashtriya Sahara and Hindustan.
In IRS R2, 2009, Amar Ujala, with a total readership of 2.9 crore, maintained its No. 3 position.
