RAM Week 48: It's status quo in all RAM markets

Radio Mirchi leads in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata; Big FM rules Bengaluru

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 48 for the four RAM markets is out. Radio Mirchi continues to lead in three RAM cities, including Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata. Big FM is the winner in Bengaluru.

Mumbai

Radio Mirchi is No.1 in the city with a market share of 18 per cent, followed by Red FM in the second spot.

This week, Red FM has moved up a spot to occupy the second place with a market share of 14.4 per cent, showing a gain of 0.6 percentage points over Week 47.

Slipping a spot this week is AIR FM, having managed a market share of 12.4 per cent, with a loss of 1.5 percentage points. The other radio station to score an identical market share (12.4 per cent) is Radio City.

Big FM occupies the fifth spot with a market share of 11.7 per cent, losing 0.2 percentage points. Next in line is Fever FM, placed sixth with a market share of 11.6 per cent. Radio One has garnered a market share of 6.3 per cent.

In Week 48, among the other stations in Mumbai, AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 5 per cent, followed by Vividh Bharati (3.9 per cent), Akashavani Mumbai (2.3 per cent) and Meow FM (1.8 per cent).

Delhi

Radio Mirchi leads with a market share of 25.2 per cent, registering a gain of 0.5 percentage points. Fever FM and AIR FM Gold are placed second and third respectively.

Fever FM has garnered a market share of 18.8 per cent and AIR FM has a market share of 15.5 per cent, registering a loss of 1.4 percentage points.

It is followed by Red FM in the fourth place with a market share of 10 per cent. Radio City is fifth in the city with a market share of 7.3 per cent, registering a loss of 0.2 percentage points over Week 47.

This week, Big FM and Radio One are placed sixth and seventh in Delhi, having garnered market shares of 7.1 per cent and 6.4 per cent respectively.

Among the other stations in Delhi, Meow FM has a market share of 2.7 per cent, followed by AIR FM Rainbow (2.5 per cent), Hit FM (2.3 per cent) and Vividh Bharati (2 per cent).

Bengaluru

Big FM leads in Bengaluru, followed by Radio Mirchi and Fever FM in the second and third spots.

This week, Big FM has a market share of 19.1 per cent, registering a loss of 0.2 percentage points. Radio Mirchi, with a loss of 0.5 percentage points, has garnered a market share of 17.3 per cent.

Fever FM, occupying the third place, has a market share of 15.1 per cent. Radio City occupies the fourth spot with a market share of 11.9 per cent, registering a loss of 0.8 percentage points. AIR FM is fifth in the city, garnering a market share of 10.2 per cent.

Radio One and Red FM are placed sixth and seventh, with market shares of 9.7 per cent and 8.6 per cent. They are followed by Vividh Bharati in the eighth spot, with a market share of 4.9 per cent.

Amongst the other stations in Bengaluru in Week 48, Radio Indigo has 2.1 per cent market share, followed by Gyan Vani (0.6 per cent) and Akashvani (0.4 per cent).

Kolkata

In Week 48, Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 19.5 percentage points. Big FM and Friends FM are placed second and third in the city.

Big FM has a market share of 16.5 per cent, registering a loss of 0.7 percentage points. Friends FM has garnered a market share of 15 per cent, gaining 1.6 percentage points in comparison to Week 47.

Aamar FM occupies the fourth place in the city with a market share of 10.8 per cent. This week, Fever FM has moved up a place to occupy the fifth position. It has a market share of 7.6 per cent.

Next in line is Red FM with a market share of 7.4 per cent, showing a loss of 0.5 percentage points.

Radio One occupies the seventh spot in Kolkata, with a market share of 5.8 per cent. It is followed by Meow FM, with a market share of 5.5 per cent.

In Week 48, among the other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 3.8 per cent, followed by AIR FM Gold (3.4 per cent), Akashvani (2.6 per cent), Power FM (1.3 per cent) and Vivid Bharati (0.6 per cent).
