RAM Week 51: Radio City emerges to be the biggest gainer, occupies third spot in Mumbai

For first position it's status quo in all the RAM markets, where Radio Mirchi occupies first spot in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Big FM ruling the roost in Bengaluru

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 51 for the four cities is out and as has been the case for couple of weeks, Radio Mirchi continues to lead in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Big FM leads in Bengaluru.

Mumbai

In Week 51 the biggest gainer has proved to be Radio City which has moved up to the third position from last week's fifth spot. The radio station has managed to rise up the ladder by garnering a market share of 12.6 per cent.

As was the case last week No.1 and No.2 spot is occupied by Radio Mirchi and Red FM with a market share of 17.6 per cent and 15.1 per cent, respectively.

Big FM and Fever FM are placed fourth and fifth. Big FM has market share of 12 per cent registering a loss of 2 percentage points. Fever FM has managed a market share of 11.9 percentage points.

AIR FM has lost previous week's No.3 rank to Radio City. The radio station has registered a market share of 11.8 per cent as compared to a market share of 12.7 percent in Week 50. Radio One occupies seventh spot with a market share of 6.6 per cent.

Amongst the other stations in Mumbai, AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 5 per cent, Vividh Bharati (3.3 per cent), Meow (2.3 per cent) and Akashvani (1.8 per cent)

Delhi

Radio Mirchi is No.1 radio station in the city. It has leads with a market share of 24.7 per cent.

It is followed by Fever FM and AIR FM Gold in second and third place. Fever FM has managed a market share of 18.2 per cent. AIR FM has a market share of 17.7 per cent registering a loss of 0.3 percentage points in comparison to Week 50.

Radio City and Red FM are placed fourth and fifth place in Delhi. Radio City has registered a market share of 9.4 per cent and Red FM has garnered a market share of 8.8 per cent.

Big FM and Radio One are placed sixth and seventh in Delhi with a market share of 6.9 per cent and 5.9 per cent, respectively.

Among the other stations in Delhi, Hit FM has a market share of 2.5 per cent, followed by AIR FM and Meow (2.4 per cent each), Vividh Bharati (0.9 per cent) and Akashvani (0.2 per cent).

Bengaluru

As has been the trend for several weeks, in Week 51 as well status quo in Bengaluru remains unchanged with Big FM occupying No.1 spot, followed by Radio Mirchi and Fever FM as No.2 and No.3 player.

This week Big FM has a market share of 19.4 per cent registering a loss of 0.3 percentage points in comparison to Week 50.

Radio Mirchi is placed second with a market share of 17.2 per cent with a loss of 0.4 percentage points. Fever FM occupies third spot with a market share of 15.9 per cent gaining 1 percentage points over Week 50.

Radio City and AIR FM are placed fourth and fifth in Bengaluru with a market share of 12 per cent and 9.9 per cent, respectively.

Radio One continues to be placed sixth with a market share of 9.1 per cent. Next in line is Red FM with a market share of 8.8 per cent registering a loss of 1 percentage points over Week 50. Vivid Bharati is eighth player in the city with a market share of 4.9 per cent.

In Week 51 in Bengaluru amongst others Radio Indigo has 1.9 per cent market share, followed by Gyan Vani (0.5 per cent) and Akashvani (0.4 per cent each).

Kolkata

The city is being ruled by Radio Mirchi, Big FM and Friends FM as No.1, No.2 and No.3 player.

Radio Mirchi leads the city with a market share of 20.5 per cent with a loss of 0.2 percentage points. Occupying second spot is Big FM with a market share of 16.7 per cent. The radio station has registered a gain of 0.3 percentage points over previous week.

Friends FM is No.3 with a market share of 13.6 per cent with a loss of 1.3 percentage points.

In Week 51 Aamar FM occupies fourth place in Kolkata with a market share of 10.9 per cent registering a gain of 0.9 percentage points. Fever FM has maintained its last week's fifth position with a market share of 7.6 per cent.

Red FM is placed sixth with a market share of 7.5 per cent. This week both Meow FM and Radio One have scored identical market share garnering 6 per cent market share.

In Week 51 among the other stations in Kolkata AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 3.7 per cent, followed by AIR FM Gold (2.9 per cent), Akashvani (2.4 per cent), Power FM (1.2 per cent) and Vividh Bharati (0.8 per cent).
