Starcom Worldwide awarded the media duties for Educomp

Following a multi-agency pitch, Starcom Worldwide has been appointed as the media agency for Educomp, an education solutions provider. Starcom Worldwide's Delhi office will handle the business. Educomp's creative duties lie with M&C Saatchi.

"Our brief evaluated the agencies on four counts -- talent helming the account, consumer insights, ideas anchored on business goals, and stretching the budget. Starcom did well in all areas. Now comes the exciting part -- delivering and executing," says Abhinav Dhar, director - Educomp in a note to the media.

Tarun Deep Kumar, executive director, India - North, Starcom Worldwide, says, "Our win is the outcome of a better understanding of the education industry."

Educomp has been advertising in the past. However, since the education solutions provider is growing and wants to reach out to more institutions and people, a holistic mix of media will be employed in the campaign.

Starcom Worldwide has already begun work on the account. Sandeep Lakhina, chief operating officer, South Asia, Starcom Worldwide shares that the media plan will include a mix of television, radio, print and outdoor. He says, "We are learning and understanding the category well and also researching the best combination of media to be used."
