Three more Indians join Ravi Deshpande on AdFest jury

McCann Erickson's Anil Thomas, Grandmother India Design's Kurnal Rawat and Gingerwater Films' Sabyasachi Sengupta have been invited to join the AdFest 2010 jury

Three more Indians have been invited to join the AdFest 2010 jury. Anil Thomas, creative director, McCann Erickson, Bengaluru; Kurnal Rawat, design director, Grandmother India Design, Mumbai; and Sabyasachi Sengupta, director, Gingerwater Films will join Ravi Deshpande, chairperson and chief creative officer, Contract Advertising on the jury panel.

Thomas will be on the Film Lotus and Radio Lotus juries. The jury president of both categories is Washington Olivetto, president and creative director, W/Brasil.

Rawat has been invited to judge the Design Lotus and Print Craft Lotus categories. Thirasak Tanapatanakul, worldwide chairperson, Creative Juice, Bangkok is the jury president of the categories.

Sengupta will be among other jury members judging the Film Craft Lotus and New Director Lotus categories. The jury president is Kazuyoshi Hayakawa, director, Camp KAZ Productions, Tokyo.

Deshpande, who is the jury president for Direct Lotus, will also judge the 360 Lotus, Innova Lotus and Lotus Root categories.

Talking to afaqs!, Rawat says, "I am looking forward to some good competition. I am excited about looking at work from the other parts of Asia. Personally, I want to evaluate how Indian work is positioned among the other international entries and hope for some Indian wins."

The Asia Pacific Advertising Festival (AdFest) has announced that next year's festival will take place on March 18-20 in Pattaya, Thailand. AdFest is an annual regional advertising event that celebrates creativity in the Asia Pacific region. It is a platform designed to elevate creative standard and promote communication within the advertising and production industry.

The theme for this year's AdFest is 'Refresh - Made in Asia'. It is expected to attract top Asian as well as international talent in the jury and speaker roles.
