Chandru of Airtel calls it a day

Highly placed sources in the industry reveal that in all likelihood, a marketing role at Reliance Mobile is on the cards for him

R Chandrasekhar, fondly known as Chandru, head - brand and media at Bharti Airtel, has put in his papers at the company. Though his next destination is not known, highly placed sources in the industry reveal that in all probability, he would join Reliance Mobile in a marketing role.

According to the grapevine, one of the other options on his platter is joining a financial services company.

However, when contacted, Chandru denied the development.

Chandru has been with Airtel for three years, where he played an instrumental role in brand communication by building on the brand's emotional connect. In a career spanning 13 years, he has also worked with Britannia and Marico.
