Madison Media retains media buying duties of General Motors

General Motors (GM) has decided to continue with Madison Media for its media buying duties. The account size is pegged to be more than Rs 100 crore. The media account has been awarded for a period of three years.

Madison Media won the account following a multi-agency pitch. The other six agencies in the fray included OMD, Lodestar and Starcom Worldwide.

It is learnt that GM, which is the maker of Chevrolet Beat, Spark, Cruz, Tavera, U-VA, Aveo, Optra and others, is in investment mode right now. Madison will be responsible for handling the entire product portfolio of the third biggest ad spender in the automobile category in the country, after Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai Motor.

Wieden+Kennedy (W+K) and Leo Burnett will continue to handle creative duties for the company.
