RAM Week 14: Red FM and Radio One fight for sixth spot in Bengaluru

Big FM's four weeks' average market share in Kolkata stands at 17.1 per cent, which is 1.7 percentage points higher than Week 13

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for the RAM markets for Week 14 is out. Here is an update on the developments.

Mumbai

RAM Week 14: Red FM and Radio One fight for sixth spot in Bengaluru
Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 17.3 per cent, which is the same as last week. Its average share in the city for the past four weeks turns out to be17.2 per cent.

Red FM and Radio City occupy the second and third spots.

Red FM has maintained its market share of 14.7 per cent and its four weeks' average market share stands at 14.2 per cent. Radio City has a market share of 13.6 per cent, registering a loss of 0.1 percentage points in comparison to Week 13.

AIR FM Gold is placed fourth with a market share of 11.7 per cent, without registering any loss or gain in comparison to the previous week. Big FM continues to occupy the fifth position this week with a market share of 11.4 per cent, losing 0.2 percentage points over the previous week.

Fever FM occupies the sixth place in the city. Its market share is 11.2 per cent and its four weeks' market share stands at 11.3 per cent.

Radio One occupies the seventh spot with a market share of 5.8 per cent. AIR FM Rainbow and Vividh Bharati have garnered market shares of 4.7 per cent and 4.2 per cent, respectively.

Among the other stations in Mumbai is Akashvani Mumbai, which has a market share of 2.8 per cent; followed by Meow FM with a market share of 2.7 per cent.

Delhi

Radio Mirchi leads in Delhi with a market share of 24.2 per cent, registering a loss of 0.5 percentage points in comparison to Week 13. Its average market share over the past four weeks is 24.6 per cent, up by 0.2 percentage points over Week 13.

Fever FM is at No. 2 with a market share of 18.6 per cent and its four weeks' average market share is 18.7 per cent, the same as the previous week. At No. 3, AIR FM Gold has a market share of 17.5 per cent with a loss of 0.3 percentage points.

Red FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 9.6 per cent. It has registered a gain of 0.2 percentage points in comparison to Week 13. Radio City is at No. 5 with a market share of 8.6 per cent and a gain of 0.1 percentage points.

Big FM is positioned sixth in the city with a market share of 7 per cent. Radio One is seventh with a market share of 6 per cent and its four weeks' average market share turns out to be 5.4 per cent, 1 percentage point higher than last week.

Among the other stations in Delhi this week, Meow FM has a market share of 2.6 per cent; followed by AIR FM Rainbow (2.1 per cent); Vividh Bharati (1.8 per cent); Hit FM (1.7 per cent); and Akashvani Delhi (0.2 per cent).

Bengaluru

Big FM is No. 1 in the city, followed by Radio Mirchi and Fever FM at No. 2 and No. 3 positions, respectively.

Big FM has a market share of 19.5 per cent and it has retained its average market share of 19.5 per cent for the past four weeks.

Radio Mirchi commands a market share of 17.5 per cent, losing 0.3 percentage points over last week. Fever FM has a market share of 15.3 per cent, gaining 0.1 percentage points this week. Its last four weeks' average market share also turns out to be 15.3 per cent.

Radio City is placed fourth with a market share of 12.4 per cent; its average market share for the last four weeks is 12.6 per cent, 0.1 percentage points higher than last week.

AIR FM Rainbow at No. 5 has a market share of 9.9 per cent, registering a loss of 0.2 percentage points over Week 13. The radio station's four weeks' average market share is 9.6 per cent, again the same as last week.

This week, Radio One has moved up to occupy the sixth position by displacing Red FM. Radio One has registered a market share of 8.9 per cent, gaining 0.5 percentage points. Red FM, with a loss of 0.7 percentage points, has managed a market share of 8.1 per cent. Its last four weeks' average market share is 8.7 per cent.

Among others in Bengaluru in Week 14 are Vividh Bharati with a market share of 4.4 per cent, followed by Radio Indigo (2.8 per cent); Gyan Vani (0.8 per cent); and Akashvani (0.4 per cent).

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi is the No. 1 radio station in the city. It has a market share of 20.9 per cent. Its four weeks' average market share is 20.4 per cent.

Big FM and Friends FM occupy the second and third spots. Big FM has a market share of 17.4 per cent, with a loss 0.3 percentage points over the previous week. Its four weeks' average market share has gone up by 1.7 percentage points to17.1 per cent.

Friends FM has a market share of 11.4 per cent and its last four weeks' average market share stands at 12.4 per cent.

Aamar FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 11 per cent, gaining 0.2 percentage points over Week 13. The last four weeks' average market share for the radio station is 10.8 per cent.

Red FM occupies the fifth spot with a market share of 8.5 per cent, without registering any gain or loss over the previous week. Fever FM follows with a market share of 7.3 per cent. Its last four weeks' average market share stands at 7.7 per cent.

Radio One and Meow FM occupy the seventh and eighth positions in the city, with market shares of 6.1 per cent and 6 per cent respectively.

In Week 14, among the other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM Gold has a market share of 3.7 per cent, followed by AIR FM Rainbow (3.2 per cent); Akashvani (2.5 per cent); Power FM (1.3 per cent); and Vividh Bharati (0.6 per cent).
