New York Festivals Awards: 28 entries from India in the list of finalists

Leo Burnett, Grey, Dentsu Communications, followed by Beehive Communications, Hungama, Out of the Box and Telibrahma make their presence felt at New York Festival Awards

The names of the finalists for the New York Festivals (NYF) 2010 International Advertising Awards have been announced. The finalists from India comprise Leo Burnett (15 entries), Grey Worldwide India (six entries), Dentsu Communications (three entries), as well as Beehive Communications, Out of the Box, Hungama Digital Media Entertainment and Telibrahma Convergent Communications with one entry each.

Leo Burnett's 'Ink/Oil/Ketchup' entry has been selected as the Collateral Finalist, Avante Garde finalist and Outdoor finalist in Consumer Promotions, Innovative Use of Media and Home Products and Services categories, respectively.

'Backpocketing' for Mumbai Railway Police has been chosen as Avante Garde finalist in Guerrilla: Indoor category. 'Ketchup' for Tide and 'Wrapper' for Whisper have been shortlisted as Avante Garde finalists in Innovative Use of Media category.

The agency's entry, 'Ink' for Tide has been selected as an Outdoor finalist in Best Use of Medium/Posters and Home Products and Services categories. 'Fish' for Bajaj exhaust fans has earned a nomination as Outdoor finalist in the Home Appliances/ Furnishing category.

Leo Burnett's work for Tide, titled 'Coffee Egg, Ink, Ketchup' and 'Coffee' have both been nominated as print finalists in two categories -- Home Products/Services (Cleaning/Pet Prod/Utilities) and Best Use of Medium/Magazines.

The agency's entry, 'Citizens for Bhopal' for Sambhavna Trust is an Outdoor finalist in Copywriting category. The same entry has been chosen as Art and Technique Finalist in Copywriting category.

Grey Worldwide India has been chosen as the design finalist in Stationery category for its entry 'Coromandel Fertilisers Business Card' for Coromandel Fertilisers. For the same entry, the agency has been selected as the Collateral Finalist, Avante Garde finalist and Art and Technique Finalist in Business to Business Products, Innovative Use of Media and Structural Innovation categories, respectively.

'AIDS Mask' for Ojus Medical Institute has got Grey a nomination for Avante Garde finalist in Ambient category and Outdoor finalist in Healthcare category.

Dentsu Communications' Save Our Tigers campaign for Aircel has been selected as TV Cinema finalist in Civic/Social Education (Animal Rights/Road Safety, etc.) category. The same campaign has been chosen as Print finalist in Civic/Social Education (Animal Rights/Road Safety, etc.) category.

The agency's entry, 'Singing for a green 2010' has been selected as Digital & Interactive finalist in Use of Mobile Consumer category.

Beehive Communications' entry, 'Cave Exploration' for Tourism Malaysia has been selected as Collateral Finalist in Business to Business Products category.

Hungama Digital Media Entertainment's entry, 'Samsung Marine' for Samsung Marine has been nominated as Digital & Interactive finalist in the Best Use of Medium/Banners category.

Out of the Box's 'Presidium Bedsheets' for Presidium has been selected as one of the Design finalists in Brand Building/Promotion category.

Telibrahma Convergent Communications' entry, 'Sprite @ cricket stadiums' for Sprite has been nominated as Digital & Interactive finalist in Bluetooth Advertising category.

The TV and Film awards finalists include Multi Screen Media with 13 entries; and Big Animation and CTV news with one entry each.

There is no finalist from Indian in Integrated (Mixed) Media and Radio.

NYF's 2010 Advertising Awards ceremony will take place in Shanghai, China from June 10-12, at the Shanghai Theater Academy and Sino ADI.
