RAM Week 17: Big FM and AIR FM Gold neck to neck in Mumbai

In Kolkata, AIR FM Gold and AIR FM Rainbow score an identical market share of 3.7 per cent

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for RAM markets for Week 17 is out. Here is an update on the happenings in the four RAM markets.

Mumbai

Radio Mirchi is No.1 in the city, with a market share of 17.2 per cent, registering a gain of 0.2 percentage point over Week 16. Its average market share for the past four weeks also stands at 17.2 per cent.

Red FM and Radio City are at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. For the last three weeks, Red FM has been garnering a market share of 14.1 per cent; thus, its last four weeks' market share has also remained unchanged at 14.3 per cent.

Radio City has a market share of 13.1 per cent, with a loss of 0.4 percentage point in comparison to Week 16. The last four weeks' average market share for the radio station is 13.6 per cent.

For two weeks in a row, both Big FM and Air FM Gold have scored an identical market share of 11.6 per cent. Both are fighting a close battle for the fourth position in Mumbai.

Next in line is Fever FM, with a market share of 11 per cent. Its last four weeks' market share is 11.1 per cent.

Radio One is at No. 7, with a market share of 6.2 per cent, gaining 0.2 percentage point over last week. AIR FM Rainbow is next, with a market share of 5.4 per cent, losing 0.1 percentage point this week.

Among the other stations in Mumbai is Vividh Bharati, which has a market share of

4.3 per cent; followed by Meow FM (2.8 per cent) and Akashvani Mumbai (2.6 per cent).

Delhi

Radio Mirchi leads in Delhi with a market share of 24.8 per cent, registering a gain of 0.2 percentage point in comparison to Week 16. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 24.5 per cent, same as the previous week.

Fever FM and AIR FM Gold occupy second and third spot, respectively. Their market shares are unchanged from Week 16. Fever FM has a market share of 18.6 per cent; while AIR FM Gold has 17.8 per cent.

Red FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 9.6 per cent, gaining 0.1 percentage point over the previous week. Its last four weeks' average market share is 9.4 per cent.

Radio City is at No. 5 with a market share of 8.1 per cent, registering a loss of 0.3 percentage point. Big FM is at No. 6, with a market share of 6.8 per cent, losing 0.1 percentage point.

Radio One is at No.7 with a market share of 5.7 per cent. Its last four weeks' average market share is 5.9 per cent.

Among other stations in Delhi this week, Meow FM has a market share of

2.8 per cent; followed by AIR FM Rainbow (1.9 per cent), Vividh Bharati and Hit FM (1.7 per cent each), and Akashvani Delhi (0.3 per cent).

Bengaluru

Big FM is numero uno in the city with a market share of 19.2 per cent, losing 0.3 percentage point vis-à-vis Week 16.

Radio Mirchi and Fever FM are at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Radio Mirchi has garnered a market share of 17.3 per cent, same as the last week. Its four weeks' average market share stands at 17.6 per cent.

Fever FM has a market share of 15.3 per cent, losing 0.1 percentage point. Its last four weeks' average market share is also 15.3 per cent.

Radio City is at No. 4 with a market share of 12.2 per cent, losing 0.4 percentage point in comparison to Week 16. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 12.4 per cent.

AIR FM Rainbow, at No. 5, has a market share of 10 per cent. The radio station's average market share for the last four weeks is 9.8 per cent.

Radio One is next, with a market share of 8.8 per cent. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 8.7 per cent.

Among others in Bengaluru in Week 17 is Vividh Bharati, with a market share of

4.7 per cent; followed by Radio Indigo (3 per cent), Gyan Vani (0.7 per cent)

and Akashvani (0.5 per cent).

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi is No.1 with a market share of 20.6 per cent, gaining 0.4 percentage point. Its four weeks' average market share is 20.5 per cent.

Big FM and Friends FM occupy second and third spot, respectively. Big FM has a market share of 17.3 per cent, with a loss of 0.3 percentage point over the previous week. Its four weeks' average market share is 17.5 per cent.

Friends FM has a market share of 11.8 per cent, with a loss of 0.1 percentage point over last week. Its last four weeks' average market share stands at 11.7 per cent.

Aamar FM is at No. 4, with a market share of 10.8 per cent, which is the same as last week. Its last four weeks' average market share is 11 per cent.

Red FM is at No. 5 with a market share of 8.1 per cent, with a loss of 0.2 percentage point.

Next is Fever FM with a market share of 7.4 per cent, registering a loss of 0.5 percentage point in comparison to Week 16. Its last four weeks' average market share stands at 7.5 per cent.

Radio One and Meow FM occupy seventh and eighth position in the city with market shares of 6.7 and 5.7 per cent, respectively.

In Week 17, among the other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM Gold and AIR FM Rainbow have a market share of 3.7 per cent each; followed by Akashvani (2.3 per cent), Power FM (1.4 per cent) and Vividh Bharati (0.7 per cent).
