Viraj Singh appointed national head, Viacom Brand Solutions

Singh joins from ESPN-STAR Sports

Viacom 18 Media has appointed Viraj Singh as national head, Viacom Brand Solutions. The division was set up to develop clients by providing customised solutions on MTV and VH1. Singh joins from ESPN-STAR Sports.

Singh has been entrusted with the responsibility of focusing on exploring revenue opportunities through business development and setting up Viacom 18 Brand Solutions Live, the live event division. He will report to Aditya Swamy, senior vice-president, sales and marketing, MTV India.

Earlier, Singh has worked with ESPN-STAR Sports and Reliance Media World's Big 92.7 FM. At Big FM, he worked across different roles, including heading the ad sales division in the Northern region across 22 markets and setting up the Big Live division. His last stint in the company was as national director, integrated sales division, a team that serves top clients across radio, BTL (below-the-line) and OOH (out of home).

Swamy says, "Singh comes with a strong understanding of the media business and has done several integrated deals with large clients. He will be responsible for leading VBS into its next phase of growth."

Viacom Brand Solutions conceptualises, sells and executes solutions across ATL, BTL and digital platforms. This includes short format solutions, co-created customised shows, consumer engagement digital platforms, ground promotions and large format live events.

Over time, it has been responsible for programmes such as Pulsar MTV Stunt Mania, MTV-Force India The Fast and The Gorgeous!, Samsung Mobile MTV Gang Next and Center Fresh Zuban pe Lagam campaign.
