RAM Week 18: Red FM moves up a spot in Bengaluru

In Kolkata, Friends FM, Big FM and Aamar FM maintain last week's market shares

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for RAM markets for Week 18 is out. Here is an update on the four markets.

Mumbai

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 17.1 per cent, registering a loss of 0.1 percentage points over Week 17. Its average market share for the past four weeks also stands at 17.2 per cent.

The second and third positions are occupied by Red FM and Radio City.

Red FM's market share is 14.1 per cent and its last four weeks' market share turns out to be 14.3 per cent.

Radio City is No. 3 with a market share of 13.2 per cent, gaining 0.1 percentage points over the previous week. The last four weeks' average market share for the radio station is 13.4 per cent.

As has been the case for the last three weeks, in Week 18, too, Big FM and Air FM Gold have scored identical market shares of 11.6 per cent each.

Both are locked in a close fight for the fourth position in the city.

At No. 6, Fever FM has a market share of 11.1 per cent and its last four weeks' average market share turns out to be 11.1 per cent.

Radio One is placed seventh with a market share of 6.1 per cent, a loss of 0.1 percentage points over last week. AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 5.8 per cent, registering a gain of 0.4 percentage points this week.

Among the other stations in Mumbai are Vividh Bharati, which has a market share of

4.1 per cent, followed by Meow FM (2.8 per cent) and Akashvani Mumbai (2.6 per cent).

Delhi

Radio Mirchi leads in Delhi with a market share of 24.8 per cent, which is the same as last week. Its average market share for the last four weeks has also remained unchanged at 24.5 per cent.

Fever FM and AIR FM Gold occupy the second and third spots. Fever FM has a market share of 18.6 per cent, without registering any loss or gain over the previous week. AIR FM Gold has a market share of 17.4 per cent, showing a loss of 0.4 percentage points.

Red FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 9.8 per cent and a gain of 0.2 percentage points; its last four weeks' average market share turns out to be 9.5 per cent.

Radio City is at No. 5 with a market share of 8.4 per cent, gaining 0.3 percentage points this week. Big FM is placed sixth with a market share of 6.9 per cent, showing a gain of 0.1 percentage points.

Radio One is No. 7 with a market share of 5.5 per cent and its last four weeks' average market share is 5.9 per cent.

Among other stations in Delhi this week, Meow FM has a market share of 2.7 per cent; followed by AIR FM Rainbow (2 per cent); Vividh Bharati (1.9 per cent); Hit FM (1.5 per cent); and Akashvani Delhi (0.4 per cent).

Bengaluru

Big FM leads in the city with a market share of 19.5 per cent and a gain of 0.3 percentage points.

Radio Mirchi and Fever FM occupy the No. 2 and No. 3 spots in the city.

Radio Mirchi has managed a market share of 17.6 per cent - a gain of 0.3 percentage points over last week. Its four weeks' average market share is 17.5 per cent. Fever FM has a market share of 15.5 per cent, with a gain of 0.2 percentage points. Its last four weeks' average market share turns out to be 15.4 per cent.

Radio City is placed fourth with a market share of 12.3 per cent, gaining 0.1 percentage points this week. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 12.4 per cent.

AIR FM Rainbow is at No. 5 and has a market share of 9.9 per cent. The radio station's four weeks' average market share is 9.8 per cent.

In Week 18, Red FM has moved up a spot to become the sixth player in Bengaluru with a market share of 8.4 per cent and a gain of 0.2 percentage points. Radio One is placed seventh in the city, with a market share of 8.3 per cent and a loss of 0.5 percentage points in comparison to last week.

Among others in Bengaluru is Vividh Bharati with a market share of 4.8 per cent, followed by Radio Indigo (2.8 per cent), Gyan Vani (0.6 per cent) and Akashvani (0.4 per cent).

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi is No. 1 in the city, with a market share of 20.7 per cent and a gain of 0.1 percentage points. Its four weeks' average market share is 20.5 per cent.

Big FM and Friends FM are the No. 2 and No. 3 players in the city. Big FM has a market share of 17.3 per cent, without showing any loss or gain over the previous week. Its four weeks' average market share is 17.4 per cent.

Friends FM has a market share of 11.8 per cent, which is the same as last week's. Its four weeks' average market share is 11.7 per cent.

Aamar FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 10.8 per cent, without any loss or gain over the previous week. Its last four weeks' average market share is 11 per cent.

Red FM is at No. 5 with a market share of 8.2 per cent, showing a gain of 0.1 percentage points. Fever FM is placed sixth with a market share of 7.5 per cent, registering a gain of 0.1 percentage points. Its last four weeks' average market share also stands at 7.5 per cent.

Radio One and Meow FM occupy the seventh and eighth positions in the city, with market shares of 6.5 per cent and 5.7 per cent, respectively.

This week, among the other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM Gold has a market share of 3.6 per cent, followed by AIR FM Rainbow (3.5 per cent each), Akashvani (2.3 per cent), Power FM (1.5 per cent) and Vividh Bharati (0.5 per cent).
