RAM Week 19: Big FM moves up a spot in Mumbai

After scoring identical market shares for the last four weeks, in Week 19, Big FM has taken a marginal lead over AIR FM Gold in Mumbai

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for the RAM markets for Week 19 is out. Here is an update for the four RAM markets.

Mumbai

Radio Mirchi leads with a market share of 17.1 per cent, without registering any gain or loss over Week 18. Its average market share for the past four weeks also stands at 17.1 per cent.

The second and third positions are occupied by Red FM and Radio City respectively.

Red FM's market share is 14.2 per cent and its last four weeks' market share turns out to be 14.2 per cent.

Radio City is at No. 3 with a market share of 13.1 per cent and a loss of 0.1 percentage points over the previous week. The last four weeks' average market share for the radio station is 13.3 per cent.

In Week 19, Big FM is placed fourth with a market share of 11.6 per cent and its last four weeks' market share is 11.5 per cent.

Tied at fourth place with Big FM for the past four weeks, Air FM Gold has slipped a spot this week and occupies the fifth spot. It has a market share of 11.5 per cent with a loss of 0.1 percentage points.

At No. 6 in the city is Fever FM, with a market share of 11 per cent and its last four weeks' market share turns out to be 11.1 per cent.

Radio One is placed seventh with a market share of 6.4 per cent, gaining 0.3 percentage points over last week. AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 5.4 per cent, registering a loss of 0.4 percentage points this week.

Among the other stations in Mumbai are Vividh Bharati, which has a market share of 4.3 per cent, followed by Meow FM (2.8 per cent) and Akashvani Mumbai (2.6 per cent).

Delhi

Radio Mirchi leads in Delhi with a market share of 24.9 per cent. Its average market share for the past four weeks is 24.7 per cent.

Fever FM and AIR FM Gold occupy the second and third spots respectively. Fever FM has a market share of 18.7 per cent, showing a gain of 0.1 percentage points. AIR FM Gold has a market share of 17.5 per cent with a gain of 0.1 percentage points.

Red FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 9.7 per cent and a loss of 0.1 percentage points; its last four weeks' average market share turns out to be 9.5 per cent.

Radio City is at No. 5 with a market share of 8.1 per cent and Big FM is placed sixth with a market share of 7 per cent, registering a gain of 0.1 percentage points.

Radio One is at No. 7 with a market share of 5.6 per cent and its last four weeks' average market share is 5.8 per cent.

Among other stations in Delhi this week, Meow FM has a market share of 2.4 per cent; followed by AIR FM Rainbow ( 2.1 per cent); Vividh Bharati and Hit FM (1.9 per cent each); and Akashvani Delhi (0.3 per cent).

Bengaluru

Big FM leads in the city with a market share of 19.4 per cent and a gain of 0.1 percentage points.

Radio Mirchi and Fever FM occupy the No. 2 and No. 3 spots in the city.

Radio Mirchi has managed a market share of 17.7 per cent with a loss of 0.1 percentage points over last week. Its four weeks' average market share is 17.5 per cent. Fever FM has a market share of 15.1 per cent with a loss of 0.4 percentage points. Its last four weeks' average market share turns out to be 15.4 per cent.

Radio City is placed fourth with a market share of 12.3 per cent, which is the same as last week. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 12.3 per cent.

AIR FM Rainbow occupies the No. 5 position and has a market share of 10 per cent. The radio station's four weeks' average market share is 9.8 per cent.

This week, Radio One has moved up a spot to become the sixth player in Bengaluru with a market share of 8.4 per cent and a gain of 0.1 percentage points. Red FM is placed seventh in the city with a market share of 8.3 per cent and a loss of 0.1 percentage points in comparison to last week.

Among others in Bengaluru in Week 19 are Vividh Bharati with a market share of 4.9 per cent, followed by Radio Indigo (2.6 per cent), Gyan Vani (0.8 per cent) and Akashvani (0.4 per cent).

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 20.4 per cent and a loss of 0.3 percentage points. Its four weeks' average market share is 20.5 per cent.

Big FM and Friends FM occupy the No. 2 and No. 3 positions in the city. Big FM has a market share of 17.1 per cent, with a loss 0.2 percentage points over the previous week. Its four weeks' average market share is 17.4 per cent.

Friends FM has a market share of 11.9 per cent and its last four weeks' average market share is

11.8 per cent.

Aamar FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 10.7 per cent and a loss of 0.1 percentage points. Its last four weeks' average market share is 10.9 per cent.

Red FM is No. 5 with a market share of 8.2 per cent - which is the same as the previous week. Fever FM is the No. 6 player with a market share of 7.9 per cent, registering a gain of 0.4 percentage points this week. Its last four weeks' average market share also stands at 6.6 per cent.

Radio One and Meow FM have identical market shares. This week, both have registered market shares of 6 per cent each.

In Week 19, among the other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 3.7 per cent, followed by AIR FM Gold (3.6 per cent each), Akashvani (2.2 per cent), Power FM (1.4 per cent) and Vividh Bharati (0.9 per cent).
