RAM Week 20: Big FM continues to hold onto fourth position in Mumbai

In Kolkata, both AIR FM Rainbow and AIR FM Gold score identical market shares of 3.7 per cent each

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for the four RAM markets for Week 20 is out. Here is an update.

Mumbai

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 17.3 per cent, registering a gain of 0.2 percentage points over the previous week. Its average market share for the past four weeks stands at 17.1 per cent.

The second and third spots in the city are occupied by Red FM and Radio City respectively.

Red FM has a market share of 14.3 per cent and its last four weeks' market share is 14.1 per cent.

Radio City is No. 3 with a market share of 13 per cent, showing a loss of 0.1 percentage points over the previous week. The last four weeks' average market share for the radio station is 13.2 per cent.

This week, too, Big FM is placed fourth with a market share of 11.8 per cent and its last four weeks' market share is 11.6 per cent.

Air FM Gold occupies the fifth spot with a market share of 11.5 per cent, which is the same as last week.

Fever FM is placed sixth with a market share of 11.2 per cent and its last four weeks' market share turns out to be 11 per cent.

Radio One is placed seventh with a market share of 6.1 per cent, losing 0.3 percentage points over last week. AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 5.2 per cent, registering a loss of 0.2 percentage points in comparison to Week 19.

Among the other stations in Mumbai are Vividh Bharati, which has a market share of 4.4 per cent, followed by Meow FM (2.7 per cent); and Akashvani Mumbai (2.6 per cent).

Delhi

Radio Mirchi is No. 1 in the city with a market share of 24.5 per cent. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 24.8 per cent.

Fever FM and AIR FM gold occupy the second and third spots in the city.

Fever FM has a market share of 18.7 per cent, without registering any loss or gain this week. AIR FM Gold has a market share of 17.9 per cent with a gain of 0.4 percentage points.

Red FM is No. 4 with a market share of 9.7 per cent, which is the same as last week; its last four weeks' average market share turns out to be 9.6 per cent.

Radio City is at No. 5 with a market share of 8.5 per cent and a gain of 0.4 percentage points. Big FM is placed sixth, with a market share of 6.5 per cent, registering a decline of 0.5 percentage points.

Radio One is No. 7 with a market share of 5.7 per cent and its last four weeks' average market share is also 5.7 per cent.

Among other stations in Delhi this week, Meow FM has a market share of 2.7 per cent; followed by AIR FM Rainbow (2 per cent); Vividh Bharati and Hit FM (1.7 per cent each); and Akashvani Delhi (0.4 per cent).

Bengaluru

Big FM leads in the city with a market share of 19.7 per cent and a gain of 0.3 percentage points.

Radio Mirchi and Fever FM occupy the No. 2 and No. 3 spots in the city.

Radio Mirchi has a market share of 17.4 per cent with a loss of 0.3 percentage points over last week. Its four weeks' average market share is 17.5 per cent. Fever FM has a market share of 15.2 per cent. Its last four weeks' average market share turns out to be 15.3 per cent.

Radio City is placed fourth with a market share of 12.3 per cent, same as last two weeks. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 12.3 per cent.

AIR FM Rainbow is at No. 5 and has a market share of 9.8 per cent. The radio station's four weeks' average market share is 9.9 per cent. Radio One has maintained last week's sixth position in the city with a market share of 8.5 per cent.

Red FM is placed seventh in the city, with a market share of 8.4 per cent and a gain of 0.1 percentage points in comparison to last week.

Among others in Bengaluru in Week 20 are Vividh Bharati with a market share of 4.9 per cent, followed by Radio Indigo (2.5 per cent); Gyan Vani (0.8 per cent); and Akashvani (0.6 per cent).

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 20 per cent and a loss of 0.4 percentage points. Its four weeks' average market share is 20.5 per cent.

Big FM and Friends FM are the No. 2 and No. 3 players in the city.

Big FM has a market share of 17.7 per cent, registering a gain of 0.6 percentage points over the previous week. Its four weeks' average market share is 17.3 per cent.

Friends FM has a market share of 11.7 per cent and its last four weeks' average market share is 11.8 per cent.

Aamar FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 10.8 per cent and a gain of 0.1 percentage points. Its last four weeks' average market share also turns out to be 10.8 per cent.

Red FM is No. 5 with a market share of 8.2 per cent. Fever FM is No. 6 in the city with a market share of 8 per cent. Its last four weeks' average market share also stands at 7.7 per cent.

Radio One is placed seventh with a market share of 5.8 per cent. It is followed by Meow FM with a market share of 5.7 per cent.

In Week 20, among the other stations in Kolkata, both AIR FM Rainbow and AIR FM Gold have market shares of 3.7 per cent each. They are followed by Akashvani (2.2 per cent), Power FM (1.6 per cent) and Vividh Bharati (0.8 per cent).
