Prashant Mathur, senior vice-president, will take charge of Contract Delhi, after Roy moves out by the end of this month

Surajit Roy, head of Contract Delhi, is on his way out; and Prashant Mathur, senior vice-president, will take charge of the Delhi office. Roy, who has spent five years at Contract, is expected to be with the agency until the end of this month.

Though an official confirmation was hard to come by - as both Mathur and Roy were unavailable for comment -- sources in the know confirm the move.

Surajit Roy bids adieu to Contract
Roy has an experience of around 24 years in the advertising industry. Before Contract, he was the vice-president and client services director at JWT. In fact, he started his career in advertising with JWT in 1986 and worked at the agency for 19 years, before moving out in 2005. Some of the accounts that Roy has worked on include Thompson's social portfolio, ESPN, Cargill Purita, Timex, and Frito Lays. In addition to his client servicing duties, Roy took charge of JWT's Chandigarh office as well.

In Contract Delhi, he looked after the functioning of the entire office, with special focus on the work for NIIT and Del Monte.

Contract Delhi recently lost Spice group's Rs 100 crore account to Ogilvy India. In a recent move, the agency also shifted its operation to Gurgaon from Delhi.
