ZenithOptimedia Delhi ropes in Rakesh Singh as AVP

Singh moves in from Mindshare Mumbai

ZenithOptimedia Delhi has roped in Rakesh Singh as associate vice-president. Singh took over the new role earlier this month. In this new assignment, Singh will report to Navin Khemka, vice-president, ZenithOptimedia.

Confirming the development to afaqs!, Singh says, "In my new role, I will handle the team servicing clients such as Karbon Mobiles, United Biscuits, Unitech, Yakult energy drink, Usha International, Godfrey Phillips and HTC."

Earlier, Singh was business director, Mindshare Mumbai, where he was head of the planning function for the ABG account.

Singh is a management graduate with a specialisation in marketing and foreign trade from the University of Kochi. He has a total work experience of about 12 years. He started his career in sales in 1999 at ETV and has worked with agencies such as Mediacom, Mindshare and Madison, where he has handled leading accounts such as Wrigleys, McDowells, UB Group, Airtel, Unilever (Sunsilk; Vaseline; Huggies; Ponds), Kingfisher Airlines, Castrol and Onida.

Speaking about some of the challenges faced by him, Singh says, "I have been a part of the first ever on ground activation, amplified through multimedia campaign, for the launch of Sunsilk's new variant, Fresh n Cool in 2005, and the launch of Sunsilk Gang of Girls. Castrol GTX's movie integration with Tara Ram Pam and Castrol bike zone integration with MTV Roadies were also memorable associations."
