RAM Week 28: Red FM and Radio One fight for sixth spot in Bengaluru

In Kolkata, Meow FM moves up a spot to become the No. 8 player

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for the four RAM markets for Week 28 is out. Here is an update on the markets.

Mumbai

Radio Mirchi is No. 1 in the city with a market share of 17.3 per cent, which is the same as last week. Its average market share for the past four weeks is 17.2 per cent.

The second and third spots in the city are occupied by Red FM and Radio City.

Red FM has a market share of 14.3 per cent with a gain of 0.2 percentage points. Its last four weeks' market share turns out to be 14.1 per cent.

Radio City has a market share of 13.4 per cent, gaining 0.3 percentage points over Week 27. The last four weeks' average market share for the radio station is 13.1 per cent.

For the second consecutive week, Big FM continues to be the No. 4 player, with a market share of 11.8 per cent.

AIR FM Gold is fifth with a market share of 11.5 per cent, registering a gain of 0.5 percentage points. Its last four weeks' average market share turns out to be 11.4 per cent.

Fever FM is placed sixth with a market share of 11.2 per cent. Radio One is seventh with a market share of 6.3 per cent. AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 5.4 per cent with a loss of 0.4 percentage points.

Among the other stations in Mumbai in Week 28 is Vividh Bharati, which has a market share of 4 per cent, followed by Akashvani Mumbai (2.4 per cent) and Meow FM (2.2 per cent).

Delhi

Radio Mirchi is No. 1 in the city with a market share of 24.8 per cent. Its average market share for the last four weeks is also 24.8 per cent.

Fever FM and AIR FM Gold occupy the second and third spots in Delhi.

Fever FM has a market share of 18.9 per cent, registering a gain of 0.1 percentage points over the previous week. AIR FM Gold, placed third, has a market share of 17.7 per cent and its last four weeks' average market share stands at 17.6 per cent.

Red FM is No. 4 with a market share of 9.6 per cent, showing a loss of 0.1 percentage points. Its last four weeks' average market share also turns out to be 9.6 per cent.

Radio City is at No. 5 with a market share of 8.2 per cent, registering a loss of 0.2 percentage points in comparison to Week 27. Big FM occupies the sixth position with a market share of 7.7 per cent, which is the same as last week.

Radio One is No. 7 with a market share of 5.4 per cent, showing a loss of 0.2 percentage points this week. Its last four weeks' average market share is 5.7 per cent.

Among other stations in Delhi in Week 28 is Meow FM, which has a market share of 2.4 per cent, followed by Hit FM (1.8 per cent), AIR FM Rainbow (1.7 per cent), Vividh Bharati (1.5 per cent) and Akashvani Delhi (0.3 per cent).

Bengaluru

Big FM leads in the city with a market share of 19.5 per cent, showing a gain of 0.2 percentage points. Its last four weeks' average market share is 19.6 per cent.

Radio Mirchi and Fever FM occupy the No. 2 and No. 3 spots in the city.

Radio Mirchi has a market share of 17.7 per cent, registering a loss of 0.2 percentage points over the previous week. Its four weeks' average market share is 17.7 per cent.

Fever FM has a market share of 15.4 per cent without registering any loss or gain over last week. Its last four weeks' average market share turns out to be 15.3 per cent.

Radio City is placed fourth with a market share of 12.2 per cent, registering a loss of 0.4 percentage points in comparison to Week 27. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 12.4 per cent.

AIR FM Rainbow occupies the No. 5 position and has a market share of 9.5 per cent. The radio station's four weeks' average market share is also 9.5 per cent.

This week, Red FM has moved up to occupy the sixth position with a market share of 8.8 per cent. Radio One is placed seventh in the city with a market share of 8.5 per cent, registering a loss of 0.3 percentage points.

Among others in Bengaluru in Week 28 is Vividh Bharati with a market share of 4.5 per cent, followed by Radio Indigo (2.8 per cent), Gyan Vani (0.8 per cent) and Akashvani (0.3 per cent).

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi is No. 1 in the city with a market share of 20.1 per cent, which is the same as last week. Its four weeks' average market share is 20.3 per cent.

Big FM and Friends FM are No. 2 and No. 3 in the city.

Big FM has a market share of 17.6 per cent, with a gain of 0.1 percentage points over the previous week. Its four weeks' average market share is 17.5 per cent.

Friends FM has a market share of 11.8 per cent, gaining 0.4 per cent over Week 27. Its last four weeks' average market share is 11.5 per cent.

Aamar FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 10.7 per cent. Its last four weeks' average market share turns out to be 10.8 per cent.

Red FM has, for the third week in a row, managed to maintain its fifth position in Kolkata with a market share of 8.9 per cent.

Fever FM is placed sixth with a market share of 8.3 per cent and its last four weeks' market share turns out to be 8.3 per cent.

This week, Meow FM has moved up a spot to occupy the seventh position with a market share of 5.6 per cent, registering a gain of 0.4 percentage points.

Next in line is Radio One with a market share of 5.3 per cent.

In Week 28, among the other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM Gold has a market share of 3.7 per cent, followed by AIR FM Rainbow (3.5 per cent), Akashvani (2.3 per cent), Power FM (1.4 per cent) and Vividh Bharati (0.8 per cent).
