RAM Week 29: Radio One gains in Bengaluru and Kolkata

It's status quo for the leaders in three RAM markets

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for four RAM markets for Week 29 is out. Here is an update on Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata.

Mumbai

Radio Mirchi is No. 1 in the city with a market share of 17.1 per cent, the same as last week. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 17.2 per cent.

The second and third spots in the city are occupied by Red FM and Radio City, respectively. Red FM has a market share of 14.2 per cent, which is also the same as its average market share for the last four weeks.

Radio City has a market share of 13.2 per cent, registering a loss of 0.2 percentage point over Week 28. The last four weeks' average market share for the radio station is also 13.2 per cent.

Big FM continues at No. 4 with a market share of 11.7 per cent; while AIR FM Gold is at No. 5 with a market share of 11.5 per cent, unchanged from Week 28.

Fever FM is placed sixth with a market share of 11.3 per cent. It is followed by Radio One, which has a market share of 6.5 per cent, gaining 0.2 percentage point. AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 5 per cent, losing 0.5 percentage point over the previous week.

Among the other stations in Mumbai, Vividh Bharati has a market share of 4.4 per cent, followed by Akashvani Mumbai (2.7 per cent) and Meow FM (2.3 per cent).

Delhi

Radio Mirchi is No. 1 in the city with a market share of 24.5 per cent. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 24.8 per cent.

Fever FM and AIR FM Gold occupy second and third spots, respectively. Fever FM has a market share of 18.5 per cent, losing 0.4 percentage point over the previous week. AIR FM Gold has a market share of 17.6 per cent; which is the same as its last four weeks' average market share.

Red FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 9.8 per cent, gaining 0.2 percentage point over the last week. Its last four weeks' average market share is 9.6 per cent.

Radio City is at No. 5 with a market share of 8.7 per cent, gaining 0.5 percentage point in comparison to Week 28. It is followed by Big FM, with a market share of 7.6 per cent.

Radio One is at No. 7 with a market share of 5.5 per cent, gaining 0.1 percentage point. Its last four weeks' average market share is 5.6 per cent.

Among other stations in Delhi, Meow FM has a market share of 2.5 per cent; followed by AIR FM Rainbow (1.8 per cent), Hit FM (1.7 per cent), Vividh Bharati (1.5 per cent), and Akashvani Delhi (0.1 per cent).

Bengaluru

Big FM is No. 1 in the city with a market share of 19.9 per cent, gaining 0.4 percentage point. Its last four weeks' average market share is 19.6 per cent.

Radio Mirchi and Fever FM occupy No. 2 and No. 3 spots in the city, respectively. Radio Mirchi has a market share of 17.3 per cent, registering a loss of 0.4 percentage point over the previous week. Its last four weeks' average market share is 17.7 per cent.

Fever FM has a market share of 15.2 per cent, losing 0.2 percentage point. Its last four weeks' average market share is 15.3 per cent.

Radio City is placed fourth, with a market share of 12.3 per cent, which is identical to its average market share for the last four weeks.

AIR FM Rainbow occupies No. 5 and has a market share of 9.3 per cent. The radio station's four weeks' average market share is 9.5 per cent.

This week, Radio One has moved up a spot to No. 6, with a market share of 8.9 per cent. Red FM is at No. 7 with a market share of 8.8 per cent, which is unchanged from Week 28.

Among others in Bengaluru in Week 29, Vividh Bharati has a market share of 4.5 per cent; followed by Radio Indigo (2.6 per cent), Gyan Vani (1 per cent) and Akashvani (0.2 per cent).

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi is No. 1 in the city with a market share of 20.4 per cent, the same as last week. Its four weeks' average market share is 20.3 per cent.

Big FM and Friends FM are placed No. 2 and No. 3 in the city. Big FM has a market share of 17.7 per cent; while its last four weeks' average market share is 17.5 per cent. Friends FM has a market share of 11.8 per cent, unchanged from last week. Its last four weeks' average market share is 11.5 per cent.

Aamar FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 10.7 per cent, without registering any gain or loss over the previous week. Its last four weeks' average market share is 10.8 per cent.

Red FM is at No. 5 in Kolkata with a market share of 8.8 per cent. It is followed by Fever FM with a market share of 8.4 per cent.

This week, Radio One has moved up a spot to No. 7, gaining 0.2 percentage point to garner a market share of 5.5 per cent. Meow FM has also managed a market share of 5.5 per cent.

In Week 29, among the other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 3.8 per cent, followed by AIR FM Gold (3.5 per cent), Akashvani (2.4 per cent), Power FM (1.2 per cent) and Vividh Bharati (0.5 per cent).
