S Yesudas inducted into Vizeum India Board as director

Yesudas, currently managing director, Vizeum Media Services India, would now have a broader role in the organisation

S Yesudas, managing director, Vizeum Media Services India, has been appointed to Vizeum India's board as director.

Confirming the appointment, Ashish Bhasin, chairman, India, and CEO, South East Asia, Vizeum India (and chairman of the Vizeum India board), says in an official communiqué, "Yesu (S Yesudas) has done a fantastic job in creating brand Vizeum in India within a year from scratch. Managing to win clients and then turn each of them as ambassadors is a remarkable achievement for Vizeum. The board membership for Yesu is a fitting tribute to his undying spirit."

Yesudas adds that he is pleased with this recognition. "I know we have a lot more to achieve and I am aware of the responsibilities on my shoulders," he says. "Vizeum is perhaps the only media agency today that believes in fostering a compelling business partnership with clients, which is far beyond the traditional media reach/GRP deliverables."

Bhasin also feels that this is in the long-term interests of Vizeum; and Yesudas' appointment to the board would enable the latter to contribute more to the vision of the agency -- that of being among the premium media agencies in India.

For the record, prior to Vizeum, Yesudas was chief executive officer, RK Swamy Media Group (comprising Media Direction, Hansa Media Services, Digital Direction, Radio Direction and Hansa Outdoor). He brings with him 18 years' experience in media, both in India and overseas. His achievements include the successful re-launch of Media Direction and the launch of Digital Direction and Hansa Media Services.
